Charles Bronson Dies

Recommended Posts

My favorite movie with him was "The Mechanic". Some of these events, as they transpire are chipping away and making me feel aged... :S

My father did a few movies with Charles Bronson...I remember being able to go up to Canada for vacation as my father was working on Death Wish...learned how to ski in Banff, Lake Louise and Sunshine (IIRC...)

He was, despite his on-screen persona (and rumors to the contrary), a gentle man, in my experience. He will be missed.

I had great respect for the guy and will miss him, even if I could never understand his gun stance.

(Btw I am from Jersey, UK, hardly anyone has guns so we don't really need them for home defence etc, no flame intended)

The first Charles Bronson movie i ever saw was Death Wish 2, i may have been only 11 or 12, but it was the greatest movie i had seen, VIBES to the bronson family.

Yeah that and the Dirty Dozen.
So that leaves Clint Eastwood as the last Tough Guy from the 60's-70's Right?
I mean John Wayne, Steve McQueen, Lee Marvin, James Coburn, Charles, .....??

Well, I'd put Gene Hackman into that category. The French Connection/II... but yeah, like I said, I'm feeling dated...but on the young side of dated...:P

"The Great Escape". One of the best movies period! Steve McQueen on the motorcycle doing his own stunts. Charles Bronson. James Garner. Donald Pleasance. Great movie. I've seen it dozens of times, at least six were in the theatre when it first came out. Now that's admitting to age!
