PIA 2011 Rigger Rodeo

I am surprised that no-one has mentioned the most exciting event during the 2011 PIA Symposium.
During the Rigger Rodeo, a rigger packed a ram-air reserve into a (modern) Talon (2 or 3?) container in 11 minutes, 40 seconds!
The best part about the contest was that some of the best men in the business were beaten by a girl!

Margaret Vermeullen (sp?) had two advantages. First, Margaret did not waste any time flaking the canopy over her shoulder and went straight to PRO-stacking it on the floor.
Secondly, Margaret turned her lack of arm muscle into an advantage because she was the only rigger who could stuff her entire arm up the middle of - the narrow spring in - a Stealth pilot-chute. Margaret had her pilot-chute compressed while her closest competitor - Mike Gruwell -was still fumbling with a gun-cleaning rod!

So basically Mike's rod had him at a disadvantage against a girl. Got it.

Actually I believe she did what I've heard called "flash flake" where her arms moved so fast you could barely see them... then she dropped the canopy on the floor to neaten up the flakes

Not that I'm into conspiracies or any thing, but makes you wonder.

C'mon...you guys sound like TK aka "the perv" as he announced. Margaret is a class act.
She holds a special place in my heart because she's saved my fat ass twice (bottle still owed for one).
Mike was actually ahead of Margaret at one point, but if you watch the vid carefully, you can see the gunrod choked his time, and her small wrist gave her the advantage.
And...she's packed perhaps a thousand Talons, and I suspect there aren't as many Talons in the east as there are in the West, so Mike probably hasn't packed that many.
