cdandrea 0 #1 February 24, 2004 Check out "HALO: Freefall Warriors" this thursday Feb. 26 on Discovery Channel at 8pm. It's a two-hour doc I produced about Military Freefall School. Eager to know what the folks of Dropzone think. Christian

cdandrea 0 #8 February 24, 2004 Say hi to Shindig! He's the man. Footage he shot is featured in the show. In fact, Shindig himself is featured in the show. Christian

ifics 0 #12 February 27, 2004 THIS IS FREGGIN AWESOME and I am only 10 minuets into it... I am SO glad to not hear the word DOOOOOD a thousand times like the last discovery channel special EDIT: I don't know why but the coaches that jump with them just look "cool"
Michele 1 #13 February 27, 2004 I agree, this is pretty good. It's actually instructive, as the demonstration of body form was. This is going to be really really good. And ladies, there are some serious guys in it. Ciels- Michele ~Do Angels keep the dreams we seek While our hearts lie bleeding?~
ifics 0 #14 February 27, 2004 This beats the hell out of the "extreme tribes" first the word "xtreme" isn't in the title and 2nd it actually shows that skydiving takes more then the word "dood" EDIT: "Some say putting the parachute in the deployment bag is like stuffing a comforter into a wallet.." I know how that is
Billy 0 #15 February 27, 2004 Damn that was a great job Chritian! Really touched on the art of flying and what they go through... I'm sure it will be watched over and over at the DZ. We constantly hear stories from the Fairchild AFB bunch about Yuma... was nice to see it done so well. Thanks for the heads up!! SuZQflies 0 #17 February 27, 2004 Watched the show with my teenaged kids last night.. Excellent!! They've been asking me questions for months and got most of their un-answered questions covered there. Straightened out my 15 yr-olds cocky attitude a bit. He has maintained.. "If my Mom can do this, it'll be cake for me." He was a tad more respectful of my efforts after watching the show. Planning to buy the DVD... you should post that order number (I don't have it on me at the moment) Great job, Christian!_________________________________________________ Dr. "Q" PMS#151Shugah,Shugah,How'd Ya Git So Fly? PhreeZone 15 #20 February 27, 2004 HALO in Military terms is anything involving an actual freefall.Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com
osuskydiver 0 #21 February 27, 2004 no all true. Army Advanced Airborne School starts teaching the Art of Freefall. Halo school basically does the same thing but goes beyond, that is why they were getting used to jumping with O2 masks on fron 12,500. By the time you read this you have already read it.
Raefordite 0 #22 February 27, 2004 Yep - they talked about that on the show. Training was from 12.5 with O2, but actual jumps are from as high as 35,000 ft When do you get to Fayetteville??

freefallfreak 0 #25 February 27, 2004 Lol...I sure am glad they were flat packing. Maybe now I won't have to take so much flak for taking up too much room on the packing room floor, lol.
