Post a picture you took, a favorite picture

Recommended Posts

Did the camera's flash fire? If it did then the foreground objects (i.e. the child) where affected by it, whereas the
background being too far away was not.
This is akin to a double exposure on the same frame, one with a short exposure (the flash, which is usually pretty fast) and one with a longer one, looks like more than a second.
I must say the result looks nice anyway, even if it was not done on purpose. :)Cheers,

Vale

Hmmm. I took some pretty cool pictures yesterday, but when I reduced them to a "postable" size, they didn't look nearly as good. So I posted them on a photo website instead and put links to them below.

City by the Sea - A neat daytime view of a great SoCal city.

Downtown - A picture with a little closer view of the city, taken from a neat vantage point - down the wingline.

Night skyline - A view of the city at night. Nice, eh?

Enjoy.

Not related to skydiving.

#1 is Esse, one of my cats. I just love this photo of her. It's what I see when I wake up.
#2 is a rose from my garden, in my garden. I thought this came out very nicely.

Enjoy!

Could someone please explain to me how to post a picture on this site from another webpage? I have a couple of pictures at another place that are the favorite ones I've ever taken. Would like to post them here, but don't know how. Thanks.

"Why not clicky link it? If you're not sure how to do that, it's really easy. The FAQ's explain it far better than I ever could."

because i am too damn stupid to be able to do it. i need someone to explain it in simple layman terms to me, and/or walk me through the process of doing it. i don't know enough to figure it out on my own. thanks anyway.

if its saved on another website you can right click on it to save it to your desktop

then create your post and click "browse" find the saved pic on the desktop, click ok and the "upload pic"

That should do it, let me know if you have a question

Or, the way I do it, is to:

1. copy the website address
2. open a reply page
3. write this:
6. Enter title name
7. put this in:
.

The end product will look like this:
[*url http://w;jhkbgijebk;jbkbjab]The best Pix Ever![/url] (without the asterisk)

It will show up as a clicky link, with only the title showing.

Hope that helps...and you're not stupid. Computers frustrate me, too. :)

A 28 year old photo of my oldest son with my ex-wife's parents. I had never seen this photo until a month or so ago. I have been scanning black and white negatives that I shot and never printed or even contact sheeted. I found this one a few days after Grandma died.

One more step -

Need to add a closing tag at the end - [*/url] (without the asterisk)

So the end product would look like this -
[*url http://w;jhkbgijebk;jbkbjab.comnet]The best Pix Ever![*/url] - without the asterisks.

Another way to do it is -

[*url]http://w;jhkbgijebk.comnet[*/url] - again without the asterisks. This will give a link that shows the website address. The method above replaces the actual website address with whatever words you put in (ie The best Pix Ever! as above).
