Remster 24 #1 November 28, 2004 Hey geeks, without spending millions of dollars and getting Photoshop, what's a good fairly decent photo editor for no-pro use? Paint shop any good? Anything even less expensive? (yeah... I'm cheap... lol)Remster
eeneR 1 #2 November 28, 2004 QuotePain shop any good? All joking aside, depends on what level of photo editing you want to do....I got a cheepo one with my scanner, not to bad, it is just a basic verson of a photo editor from Adobe Photo Delux. I also have photoshop as well. She is not a "Dumb Blonde" - She is a "Light-Haired Detour Off The Information Superhighway." eeneR TF#72, FB#4130, Incauto
sunshine 2 #3 November 28, 2004 I really like ArcSoft Photo Studio. I also use Photo Impression, but prefer Photo Studio. ___________________________________________ meow I get a Mike hug! I get a Mike hug!
Nightingale 0 #4 November 28, 2004 find a friend who's a student and get them to buy the student edition of photoshop for you... it's much, much cheaper, and does a lot of what regular photoshop can do.
gerrcoin 0 #5 November 28, 2004 DL "The GIMP" (GNU Image Manipulation Program) [url]http://www.gimp.org/windows/[url], open source photo editor. Hard to get the hang of, but a good rival to Photoshop, or at least PSPro, and free.
kingbunky 3 #6 November 28, 2004 paint shop pro is pretty good, but i just started using phto shop elements form adobe. it was $139 CDN ($99 USDF is the list i think) and it does almost anything you'd want it to as far as digital phots, and most of what photo shop does for other digital media. there are free trials (and cracks) available if you want to try it out for free. same for paint shop pro."Hang on a sec, the young'uns are throwin' beer cans at a golf cart." bob.dino 0 #8 November 28, 2004 The GIMP is a free Photoshop clone. It's not the most intuitive in the world, but the price can't be beat. Paint Shop Pro is also a Photoshop clone. It's damn good, for a reasonable price. There is (was?) a 30-day free trial available.
