I'd also add that if you entangle a line with a rubber band stow, odds are it will break and the canopy will deploy normally. If you entangle a line with one of those locking 'teeth' I'd doubt that it would release.

You mean due to the loose stowage of the lines? Given that BASE and reserve canopies use a similar system, I could see how a good 'pocket' design could work well. If the magnets can hold as well as velcro it might give a similar level of reliability (assuming care stowing the lines of course.)

There are no locking theeth with the Mpod.
Never heard of a line entanglement with the locking theeth of the other versions. Everything is possible, but ...
