mdrejhon 8 #4 October 22, 2005 PET in all capitals? As in acronyms. I've got three P.E.T.'s: http://www.vintage-computer.com/images/pet8032.jpg (The Commodore PET) http://www.ethlife.ethz.ch/images/pet-l.jpg (PET Scanner) http://www.packaging-technology.com/projects/wimm-bill/images/wimm_bill5.jpg (PET Plastic) Which kind of P.E.T. do you want? Oh you mean a pet. As in the word "pet". Duh.

Sneakerz 0 #8 October 22, 2005 Reptiles can be the best low maint. pets. Especially some snakes. They do not have to be fed or cared for as often and can be left alone for extended periods of time. no kennels, nobody to watch for you etc etc--------------- "Once you find a job that you like, you never have to work another day in your life"

Gawain 0 #17 October 22, 2005 If you have time for them, birds can be very rewarding, but you need to be able to spend several hours a day with them (5+). Dogs are good, but need outdoor time and plenty of attetion too. Cats are okay, but I think they're dirty. Ferrets are ...they're like furry weasels to me. Reptiles...umm Ant farms, if the glass breaks... Roach Hotels...errr You could always buy a worm collection... So I try and I scream and I beg and I sigh Just to prove I'm alive, and it's alright 'Cause tonight there's a way I'll make light of my treacherous life Make light! They do not have to be fed or cared for as often and can be left alone for extended periods of time. no kennels, nobody to watch for you etc etc I agree, but you have to get them through baby hood, and you have to be able to deal with their food which is normally live. Our bearded dragon rocks, but it is a desert lizard and FL would not be the best place for it, while something like a chinese water dragon might be the right choice for you. Of course you have to deal with keeping it's cage free of mold. *yuck*Fly it like you stole it!
thegreekone 0 #24 October 22, 2005 I say greyhound. They are low maintenance (most don't bark and our boy has never even marked in the house), they are still being euthanized in the 10s of thousands a year. They are so sweet, low key, eager to please, and make a GREYT first pet.
