Art is in the eyes of the beholder.. and that changes as you go around the world.

QuoteBut how do you determine what is trashy or art?
It's all subjective and qualitative. No clear lines exist. Some of the more puritanical persons would find anything that is at all tittilating to be pornographic, even the SI Swimsuit Edition. Others may find full frontal to be porn. Still others don't see anything that isn't explicit genital shots or contact to be porn.
It's like "What separates 'soft core' from 'hard core' porn?" And then, "What separates 'true art' from 'soft core porn?'"
Individual values.

To me art is something that takes talent, not just getting chicks to bend over naked and taking a picture.

But, seriously I wanna say it's a bit of both.

Seems the photographer is going for quantity over quality.

I mean, there is nothing particularly inventive about it, yet it has an artsy appeal to it without feeling pornographic, but it also just a black & white of a topless girl.

I'd hang it on my wall.
I'd say that that could be art . . .

I think both are represented in this group of pics.
Is it strange that I am mezmerized by the women with small breasts? For some reason those are the ones I click on and want to see up close.

Me too! And I went through every last page to make sure I made and educated decision on the porn/art debate.

What do you think?
What's the difference?
Where is the line?
They are art. But technically, so are bumper stickers. Judging art is not about identifying whether or not a piece qualifies as art; it's about identifying whether or not a piece is quality art.

And just because a photo has a naked chick in it does not mean there wasn't a huge amount of work going into the composition, lighting, exposure, filters etc. of the shot.
Take this one for example. There is no way you can tell me that is just 'taking a picture'. To me the subject of a work is not what detremines its artistic status.

There were a lot of pics on that link.
There was a few with woman bending over just to show their ass, and more that to me seemed they were focused on selling the sex not the art.
But what you posted looks great

When I was browsing through it, that one jumped out at me enough to demand a click. It's a very nice picture and conveys something more than a simple attempt to turn me on, so I'd definitely call it art. Overall, I'd say about half the stuff in there is fairly unimaginitive art, with some of them considerably better than others. The other half of the stuff looks like it was designed purely to titillate, so I classify those as more porn than art.
