What are you going to do for Mother's Day?

Recommended Posts

I would go to the City and put flowers on her grave, but I am stuck at work for 12 hours. No worries though, she knew how much she ment to me, and I will be thinking of her tomorrow :)

My Mom died last month so the best thing I can do for her is work on settling her estate for her heirs.

As a mother myself, I don't want my kids spending money on me. A phone call would be fine.
What do you call a beautiful, sunny day that comes after two cloudy, rainy
ones? -- Monday.

Good for her. You must be very proud of your sister. It is truly the best mother's day gift for your mother. :)

I'm gonna call my mom back east, as well as my sis-in-law and wish them both a HMD. Here at home, will be cooking all day with my daughters for my wife & their ma. Also planning on some bedtime to honor how I made her a mommy in the first place.

Mom's day 2006,

both my son's are coming home for our 1st, bbq of the season.....(steaks & huge scallops are marinating) I have made it known that I would luv to go skydiving for Mom's day- including a mom's day dive!!

So bbq is for lunch and then I'll be escorted to the d.z.'s by my son's and enjoy the rest of the day with them helping: carrying my gear from the car/ my packing / taking pics of my landings/ getting pics taken of us together/ paying for my jumps. I can even hang around the bonfire and drink as many beers as possible to celebrate "my" day

Where's the option for "gave mom a card when I saw her last weekend for her to open today"?

Spending relaxed time with your mother, letting her see that she helped to raise someone who is happy, is the best gift you can give to many mothers.

No matter how that is -- graduating college definitely counts! Taking her out to dinner and lingering; going over to the house with supplies and making a long lunch or dinner and cleaning up everything afterwards.

My son is coming to dinner (cookout, I'm not cooking), and he's going to detail my motorcycle. I'm at work, so I'll miss some of the time with him, but, well, we make time with some regularity anyway.

That's an awesome sentiment, Wendy, and I hope you and your son have a great evening together.:)

Need some ideas on how to celebrate Mother's day tomorrow. Please help!!

How about cooking for her?

My father and I are cooking my mother rack of lamb, homemade fettucine with porcini mushrooms, and broccoli rabe with steamed dandelions that we went out and foraged ourselves yesterday, three of her favorite dishes. We're also opening a bottle of 20-year old wine. Should be a great meal :)

Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.

I think I am going to take my mom out tonight for something special.B|
Can't decide!! Chinese, Japanese, or Stack house? I love sushi ... Oops! maybe I should take her to the one she likes instead of the other way around. :D
