Been driving 17 years, and never caused a scratch. Well, strike that - I did lose control on an ice patch last winter, which left only slow airleaks in the passenger tires of the Volvo. Got the tires repaired and went home.

First - and only - damage to a car that I have caused.

I said option 2. I've crashed 4 times, but only one was an at fault accident and that was just over 3 years now (insurance just went down by a bunch). One the other person was 100% at fault and the other two involved objects and I didn't claim them - involved stupid/unobservant driving (not necessarily reckless).

I've been driving 25 years. Never hit anything. Been HIT 3 times but none my fault (unless you count not getting out of the way in time my fault!).

I've had one fender-bender. I was 16 with about a year of driving experience and I T-boned an old guy going the wrong way on a 1 way section of road.

He made a left turn into the wrong side of a median, into another left turn lane, while I was turning right out of a gas station into said lane. My front left corner hit his left rear quarter panel.

That was '95, no accidents since.
