Go ROSSI!!!!

Recommended Posts

Motogp championship decider in Valencia just started. The best motorbike racer in the world needs to finish better than 2 places behind Hayden for his finest world championship win yet (and, incidentally, his 6th in a row!).

It'll all be over in an hour, Go Valentino Rossi!B|

Rossi had a terrible start from pole and slipped back to I think 6th after the first corner. A couple of laps later his front end slid out and he low sided it. Got back on to finish way down the field, Hayden took third place and the title by 5 points.

After the bike problems and DNFs he had earlier this year Rossi deserved that title. He is still undoubtedly the best rider out there by a country mile though, the other guys just aren't in the same league!

I agree. But with those rules of points for each position reached, it is more prized the one who is more regular than the one who wins more.
So, hats off to Nicky Hayden :)Valentino is indeed the best MotoGP rider, but he could do nothing against bad luck of lots of points left here and there. 1st race: hit by Elias, fallen, finished, got only 2 points; another race, being first but then engine failure; another race, being first, tyre failure; Estoril race (3 races to finish) for 2 /1000 th of second Valentino arrived second (losing 5 points with respect to have won).
After Laguna Seca, Valentino was -51 point below Hayden; after the penultimate race, Valentino was +8 over Hayden.
Bad luck in the last race (13th with 3 points) and regularity of Hayden (3rd with 16 points) led to Hayden to win the MotoGP world title.
Honour to Hayden :)Still, Valentino is the best rider B| riding a so-and-so motorbike (Yamaha).

Honour to Hayden [Smile] , indeed, the most regular driver riding the most reliable and powerful motorbike (Honda).
Still, Valentino is the best rider [Cool] riding a so-and-so motorbike (Yamaha).

Yeah, Yamaha really dropped the ball early on this season and Honda got away from them. But what about the Ducatis towards the end of this season, those bikes were blindingly quick!!

Ducatis are really strange. In something like 3 or 4 races during the year, they have got a setup such as they are motorbikes from Mars, thay have got another pace, not even reachable by anybody else, Valentino included.
The following race, Capirossi arrives 12th. Unbelievable. :S

Troy has been unbelievable in Valencia. One single race, he jumps on a Ducati as a bonus from the team, and he is the fastest, even faster than Loris Capirossi, who has riden such a motorbike all year long.
Troy Bayliss is an unbelievable rider indeed :)It's a pity he continues on Superbike and will not ride on MotoGP :(
