I Still Buy CDs...

Recommended Posts

once in a blue moon.

But, I don't download or burn or Ipod or the like, so if I really want an album, I buy it.B|

I just bought my first CD this year (yes I know it's almost 2007;)).

Corinne Bailey Rae

Fantastic! She is amazing. I know it's been said before, but she reminds me a little of Norah Jones & Joss Stone (both artists I also love).

The link to her site is cool b/c you can hear an excerpt of the songs on her album.

So what was the last CD you purchased? Or for you techys, what was the last song or artist you burned?

She gave me the Corinne Bailey Rae CD a couple of months ago.

Yes, not only am I a non-techy but I'm also late to jump on a new release.:D

It is definitely excellent!:P

Mailin, how do you like the Raconteurs? I love White Stripes.:)

I still buy CDs too, if it's an album I feel is worth my money. But when I do I immediately rip it, then put it back in the sleeve and never take it out again. If I want to listen to it in the car I burn a copy from the mp3s. That way the original never gets ruined. If I ever lose the mp3s, I can just rip it again.

I listen to mine--in the car, in the house, in a portable. If the original gets ruined. I buy another.:P

Some CD's can't just be bought like that though. Take for instance Operation Ivy, Energy unless the record sompanies re released it, but they were on look out a small label that probibly isn't around anymore. There are a lot of CDs that just aren't produced anymore.
