ImGunnaJump 0 #2 December 8, 2006 My condolences to all his family and friends. Blues, Steve"...I've learned that while the "needs" in life are important (food, water, shelter), it's the "wants" in life (ice cream, chocolate, sex) that make it worth the effort." shall555 0 #4 December 8, 2006 Yeah, Steve was the first guy to greet me when I stumbled into Skydive New Mexico's hangar last year. He was a gentle soul. He'd apparently had some health problems over the past year. But he was always there to help out at the DZ and to teach, when he could. Heck, he taught me how to pro-pack, which is like teaching an aardvark to aviate. I can only hope he's flying free, now. shall

BASE841 3 #7 December 8, 2006 Here's a photo of Steve and his son, taken just after his son made a skydive, I think it was summer 2005. Also, just found out his family will have him cremated. Still no word on when they'll hold a service.
LisaM 0 #8 December 8, 2006 I thought I recognized that name. We were the dzo's when Steve first came to NM. He was the best packer we ever had! Blue Skies! ~ Lisa ~ Do you Rigminder?

skysprite 0 #10 December 8, 2006 I just read the emails. He had a tough existence for the entire time that I knew him. I saw him the last time maybe two months ago, and it felt like I was hugging a skeleton. It's comforting to know he's out of pain now. No matter how many times Steve had showed me how to pack, he'd always be right there anytime I had even the smallest of questions. Hard life or not, he was one of the good ones.~skysprite
