With the affection I have for tongs...I'm hurt with the selections you chose. While the peppermill is a very close second in my kitchen desires (can I say that in the new spirit of the bonfire?), I just have to have the tongs!

By far, my favorite is the 'kitchen hammer'. Mine is straight from Craftsman, so if it ever breaks, they'll replace it. Highly useful for tenderizing meat, chopping nuts, smashing garlic, extremely versitile!

My husband says I'm the only person he's ever met that uses a hammer in the kitchen, but even he agrees that it is definitely useful.

Oh definitely my Cheese grater. My mon got me one for Christmas that effortlessly shreds Parmesan in to the perfect size and thickness. Just like in fancy restaurants!
