Dog Got Run Over

Our 9 month old Lab / Beagle mix got run over and killed this morning. We're devisated, Andy was a great pal and loved walking with us in the woods in the hills above our farm. We buried him up there with an assortment of his toys this afternoon. Sometimes life really sucks the big hairy wet one.

The older I get the less I care who I piss off.

Squeak, sorry about your dog, I know the feeling of saying good bye to long time pet friends. About two years ago, we had to put our two 16 year old Cocker Spaniels down within four months of each other due to the infirmities of old age. Man, sometimes having pets is real tough.

Andy was a farm dog and lived mostly outside. He had always been good about staying away from the road but it only takes once. We suspect he was chasing some sort of critter and blindly ran in front of a car but we really didn't see what happened.

I am so so sorry. We had a yellow lab that got hit by a logging truck. It was a horrible way to go and the guilt was even worse. Shit happens sometimes.

Sorry for your loss. It's a tough price we pay for their companionship.

I lossed one myself in a similar manner. Farm dog, country road that saw maybe 10-12 cars a day on it and she just happened to run in front of one.
