Andy_Copland 0 #1 March 18, 2008 http://www.squidoo.com/ebaystinks One of my buddies uses it and doesnt have any real complaints, and another is contemplating firebombing the Ebay headquarters. I;ve never used it. Does it really stink?1338 People aint made of nothin' but water and shit. Until morale improves, the beatings will continue. BillyVance 34 #2 March 18, 2008 I've only used it to get something I really needed, like a replacement part for a tool or appliance, so I've had no problems. There are scammers out there too... Shotgun 1 #3 March 18, 2008 I've used ebay a lot, and I've never noticed any particular odor from it.
PLFKING 3 #4 March 18, 2008 I've bought two cars and a jewelry box, and sold one car.....nothing but smiles over here. Feedback is EVERYTHING. Don "When in doubt I whip it out, I got me a rock-and-roll band. It's a free-for-all."
AnKaLi 0 #5 March 18, 2008 I buy EVERYTHING on ebay. I refuse to pay full price for most things....Never had any complaints...you have to know how to use it, be aware of scammers, and pay attention to feedback. I've also had no issues with profiting and selling on ebay...like the person in that link.
simplyputsi 0 #6 March 18, 2008 I use ebay now and again. Someone might make a good bit of money coming up with a similar site that charges less fees. I'm just sayin.Skymama's #2 stalker -
DangerRoo 0 #7 March 18, 2008 so far my luck has been good. I have bought 2 quads, and sold one, bought a ton of parts on there for quads, tools, all kinds of stuff. like it was stated before feedback and good communication IS everything. Andy_Copland 0 #8 March 18, 2008 The guy who wrote the article is in the process of it. Hes planning on charging 1/4th of what Ebay does for people selling and setting up online stores.1338 People aint made of nothin' but water and shit. simplyputsi 0 #9 March 18, 2008 Good for him. However he might find that eventually he'll want to expand, which costs money, which means he'll have to charge more. One does have to wonder how greedy EBAY has become with their fees. Do the quick math. They take a percentage of your sales price. How many items are sold on ebay every day?? I think they are doing just fine as far as money goes. It's all about the stockholders though isn't it. Skymama's #2 stalker -
doug925 0 #10 March 18, 2008 I am a chronic Ebay user. I will go there, as opposed to going to most local stores for things like electronics, jewelry, tools etc. I've spent better then 20K (mostly on company stuff) on Ebay, and to date only had one minor problem. Hell I've even bought a few nice watches from Singapore and they have all been authentic. I also bought a "rig" lol that was not stolen. :D As stated above, "..feedback IS everything" Do your homework. If it IS too good to be true, it probably is. Just my $.02 Doug. AnKaLi 0 #11 March 18, 2008 oh so his article is just a gimmick. Go figure.
Andy_Copland 0 #12 March 18, 2008 How does it make it a gimmick? Someone doesnt like Ebay, thinks the prices are too high and posts facts. Did you even read the "gimmick" 1338 People aint made of nothin' but water and shit. Until morale improves, the beatings will continue.
AnKaLi 0 #13 March 18, 2008 You stated he was planning on starting an "ebay" with lower fees... His article isn't 100% factual, many of his complaints I've never heard of...and I buy and sell on ebay all the time. Hence the "gimmick" comment. The fees aren't terrible if you know how to list things. Their fees, IMO, have gotten better this year. Things are cheaper and some have even become free. I'm pretty far from "wealthy elite" btw
