iphone 3g recap

ok so i've had my iphone since the release and I am pretty happy thus far but my only complaint is the crashing of 3rd party apps from the app store. Has anyone else had this issue or anyother issues.

The iPhone can't be blamed for crappy coding by 3rd parties.

I've downloaded maybe 12 apps and only had a couple of issues. I don't see it as being an iPhone issue at all.

didnt read, to me, like you were blaming the phone, just the 3rd party apps. Are the apps high use user types, or specialised ones that few people would download, and therefore less beta testers?

This phone needs a ton of fixes to it.
First would be when typing an email, being able to type on the side would be a huge help like with safari.

Copy and paste, even just to delte selected text.

Tomtom, is coming soon. Skype would be good but icall will be on it shortly.

Also a options setting where you can stop the sideways browser if you dont want it or enable it when you do want it.

I know there are a ton of other things i would like to see on it that i am so use to with my jasjam but all in all it is a great phone. However, it does seem to be a bit slow now i have a couple of apps on it. this worries me if it will get REALLY slow once i have tom tom on it.


My jasjam was excellent to me and this iphone lacks alot of things that windows mobile 5 has.

I always get this notion when i am using the iphone that it could be soooooooo much better than it actually is.

Lets hope the good apps start coming out soon and i hope that the OS will work together with the apps.

They say that there is alot coming out in the next firmware so i guess just wait and see. I just hope that it will become as good as it 'could' be.

For now the apps are just shitty party tricks and crap that kids might buy. There are some apps that have a great idea but for now are useless. Give it 12 months and i hope the iphone is way different from the stage it is at now. I am certain that some excellent apps will be out in the future seeing it has the developers software or whatever you call it.

What's giving me trouble with my iTouch (basically the iPhone without the phone) is that I can't turn off the "spell check" that automatically completes words when writing an e-mail. I frequently change languages and one of them being Swiss German. The iPhone doesn't know it and it's a giant pain not being able to turn it off as it always completely messes up the words.
