schuey87 0 #1 January 3, 2006 What size mains can a javelin odyssey j4 size container take safely? Maybe I'm just being retarded but I couldn't find it on the Javelin website.
slotperfect 7 #2 January 3, 2006 The Javelin sizing chart is here, but it does not list a smallest canopy size. I have two J4s, and I have a Stiletto 170 in one of them. Personally I would not put anything smaller than a 170 in a J4. More opinions?Arrive Safely John
rasmack 0 #3 January 3, 2006 I have a 210 in my J4 (Not Odyssey, though)...HF #682, Team Dirty Sanchez #227 “I simply hate, detest, loathe, despise, and abhor redundancy.” - Not quite Oscar Wilde...
AndyMan 7 #4 January 3, 2006 More opinions? I put a Stiletto 150 in my J3. It was pretty loose. A J4 would be very loose. _Am__ You put the fun in "funnel" - craichead.

DrewEckhardt 0 #9 January 3, 2006 QuoteStupid question here from a newbie... Why would putting a too small a canopy in a rig be a issue? When the canopy is too small you can't get enough tension on the closing loop to safely keep the rig closed. If the rig opens on climb-out the main can wrap arround the tail, damage it, and render the aircraft uncontrollable after which everyone who doesn't get out dies. schuey87 0 #10 January 4, 2006 Ok cool, cheers guys. But putting a 150 in a J3 shouldn't be too much of a problem?
