motorcycle mufflers

Recommended Posts

I bought an 82 Honda CM450 and want ot put some new mufflers on it. I came across a website where someone customized their CM450 and got some Harley fish tail mufflers for free from a local dealer. I went to my local HD dealership and asked if they had any stock mufflers kicking around that they wanted to give away and they looked at me like I was crazy and tried to sell me some for several hundred dollars. I'm a poor guy and this motorcycle hasn't taken $600 out of me yet, so I can't and won't spend $300 for a nice pair of quiet tapered mufflers. anyone have any idea where I can get a pair of pretty slim tappers mufflers for cheap? My goal is to make the bike look like it came out of the 1930's or 1940's, so mufflers looking similar are what I'm interested in. to be honest I don't even want to spend $50. I went to the local bike salvage yard and they didn't have what I was looking for. any help is appreciated.

Give these guys a call. They may have what you are looking for. I stopped by there last summer while passing through Columbus. Seemed like good people.
