Rigger Rob

Recommended Posts

Moderator; I'm not sure what the policy is on this forum, so if the nature of this post is too bonfire-y, just move it somewhere else.

Anyway, I just wanted to let everybody know that if you happen to live in the Vancouver BC, Canada neighbourhood; do your rigging business with Rigger Rob! He is incredibly skilled, has been around for many many years, he is a walking encyclopedia but won't be afraid to grab the reference book and his workmanship and attention to detail are above and beyond.

Today I needed something fixed in a hurry to prepare for a trip next weekend. Rob decided to sneak the extra work into his incredibly busy schedule.

Thanks Rob. You set a benchmark!

...it's also his birthday today! Cheers to a happy mid life crisis! I'm looking forward to testing your plagiarisms.

Yeah, Rob is actually a living legend, known even here in Germany :)

Wow!
The last time I jumped in Germany was 1987.
It was still called WEST Germany and some of you were not even born!

Hey Rob, will you sign my log book?:)

The difference between an adequate rigger and a good rigger.

His head will explode if you guys keep it up.

Actually, I don't know RiggerRob or his work.

I just wanted to emphasize that that attention to detail, and a willingness to always learn more about skydiving equipment are two very important characteristics of a rigger, no matter where you jump or with what brand equipment.

I have met several great master riggers, and these are their common characteristics.

Hey Rob... tell us a story... like about the time you glued your camera helmet to your head...
;)

... like I told my apprentice the other day: any mistake you make, I have already made, just not in this century.

You cannot make Master Rigger until you have un-picked a million stitches.
