wmw999 2,176 #3 April 1, 2010 April fool's day is my employment anniversary Wendy P. There is nothing more dangerous than breaking a basic safety rule and getting away with it. It removes fear of the consequences and builds false confidence. (tbrown)

NWFlyer 2 #7 April 1, 2010 Quote ...your boss notifies you that you are getting a raise on April fool's Day? Depends on how large it is. If it's within reason ... I'd think it was probably true. If the boss told me my salary was being doubled... I'd probably laugh. "There is only one basic human right, the right to do as you damn well please. StangMan90 0 #8 April 2, 2010 With a 10% "raise" I'd think: Finally, my pay is back to where it was before they cut it last year. May 1, 2009 - three years worth of "cost-of-living" increases were magically erased from the entire staff's payroll - the very day I returned to work after six months of recovering subsequent to a 12-day hospital stay. So in my case, I wouldn't exactly call it a raise. Joesimplify
