Skydiving Prices Coming Down?

Recommended Posts

I doubt it.

Even with fuel being low right now, there are too many other factors to include with the cost of altitude: insurance, payroll, rent/mortgage of both planes and facilities, utilities, maintenance….. I'm sure I barely scratched the surface, and someone will come along shortly to fill in the reasons.

When do ti and Vidiots get their raise?

It has been around 30/40 since the 90's

Would've been so awesome to be a ti back in 90's

Got same pay, same number of jumps, and 100 dollar was worth a 100 dollar.

And brand new main was less than 1000 bucks.

Yep, it was nice. TI pay has gone from $30 to $40 where I work. Teaching the FJC has gone from $10/head S/L to $15/head AFF. I try not to teach too much, esp. on sunny days. ;)

I'd like to see at least $40 for the first student, $20 for the next two, then $15 a person would be okay. :)
AFF we expect the main and reserve side to put in equal amounts of work, so we pay them equally. Sometimes we decide which instructor goes where as we walk to the mockup to practice.

Before the fuel increases of the last few years most DZs held prices down because of local competition. They were way behind what prices should have been when they finally raised them because of the fuel prices. I wouldn't look for them to come back down and I would be embarrassed to ask.
