Phil1111 1,099 #1 January 7, 2015 Are they going to come down? http://research.stlouisfed.org/fred2/series/WJFUELUSGULF Kerosene-Type Jet Fuel Prices: U.S. Gulf Coast 2014-12-26: 1.634 Dollars per Gallon
oldwomanc6 38 #2 January 7, 2015 I doubt it. Even with fuel being low right now, there are too many other factors to include with the cost of altitude: insurance, payroll, rent/mortgage of both planes and facilities, utilities, maintenance….. I'm sure I barely scratched the surface, and someone will come along shortly to fill in the reasons. lisa WSCR 594 FB 1023 CBDB
JohnMitchell 16 #3 January 7, 2015 Our 12,500' tickets went from $23 to $25 two years ago. I'd love to see them come back down with fuel so cheap, but I ain't gonna hold my breath. Maybe I'll inquire this weekend at the DZ. . .
tkhayes 300 #4 January 7, 2015 we dropped our block prices for the season and hoping fuel stays down. However most DZ's have been eating the regular increases in everything else for years, including fuel, so most a also reluctant to drop prices.
BornToThrill 0 #5 January 7, 2015 Not anywhere I've seen. Also fuel being cheap right now is unreliable since fuel prices can be volatile. I'd rather prices being consistent or else they'd get jacked up in the summers when gas prices normally rise.

stayhigh 2 #8 January 7, 2015 When do ti and Vidiots get their raise? It has been around 30/40 since the 90's Would've been so awesome to be a ti back in 90's Got same pay, same number of jumps, and 100 dollar was worth a 100 dollar. And brand new main was less than 1000 bucks.Bernie Sanders for President 2016

And brand new main was less than 1000 bucks. Yep, it was nice. TI pay has gone from $30 to $40 where I work. Teaching the FJC has gone from $10/head S/L to $15/head AFF. I try not to teach too much, esp. on sunny days. I'd like to see at least $40 for the first student, $20 for the next two, then $15 a person would be okay. AFF we expect the main and reserve side to put in equal amounts of work, so we pay them equally. Sometimes we decide which instructor goes where as we walk to the mockup to practice. CSpenceFLY 1 #10 January 7, 2015 Before the fuel increases of the last few years most DZs held prices down because of local competition. They were way behind what prices should have been when they finally raised them because of the fuel prices. I wouldn't look for them to come back down and I would be embarrassed to ask.
