jimjumper 25 #1 May 7, 2016 This was in the news yesterday. Happened near San Bernardino, CA. Anybody ever jump this one?
riggerrob 558 #2 May 7, 2016 Antonov 2s are popular jump-planes in Eastern Europe, but were never approved for commercial operation in North America. At best, AN-2s fly with "restricted" registration, like most of the other communist-surplus airplanes.
RMK 3 #3 May 8, 2016 Jumped one several times; we have one here at Hinton that makes an occasional load. Pretty cool and old-school. The door (though standing height) is only wide enough for one person. As for time to jump run - bring a packed lunch."Pain is the best instructor, but no one wants to attend his classes"
oldwomanc6 38 #4 May 8, 2016 That particular airplane was used for a calendar shoot back in the early '80s in So. Cal. I can't remember which airport it flew out of for this shoot. Lizard Waltzer, among others were in the shot.lisa WSCR 594 FB 1023 CBDB
mr2mk1g 10 #5 May 13, 2016 Didn't realise they had one at Hinton. Might have to take a trip back over to my birth dz. I wonder if they'll honour 10 year old a ticket...
