Are you more than 200 OtD on mini risers?

Recommended Posts

This 200 pound weight limit mainly applied to non-reinforced Type 17 risers that were built more than a decade ago.
We still have a few non-reinforced risers at Pitt Meadows, but they are all showing signs of wear and will be retired within the next 300 jumps. In other words, I will not re-install frayed risers the next time those canopies get re-lined.
At the 1993 PIA SYmposium all the manufacturers were bragging about their reinforced risers.
The definitve specification was written in 1998 by the Relative Workshop/3-Ring Inc.
