BlindBrick 0 #1 December 6, 2003 Ah, the joys of Ebay. I recently recieved my MT-1X and found it to be sans bags, PC's, handles, and front risers. Paraflite refuses to sell to me since I am a civilian so I am at an impasse. I was wondering if anyone knows where I can find parts for the MT? -Blind"If you end up in an alligator's jaws, naked, you probably did something to deserve it." SkymonkeyONE 3 #2 December 6, 2003 Ask around. Most dropzones have folks with the background to have that kind of stuff laying around. I am sure someone will PM you with info.
riggerrob 558 #3 December 6, 2003 Main risers are easy to replace as almost any 3- Ring riser will fit an MT-1X harness. Ripcord and release handles are a bit more fussy. Fortunately, the better FAA Senior Riggers know how to measure cables. I think the MT-!X uses a reserve pilotchute similar to the Swift skydiving container. Unfortunately a reserve d-bag is going to be the most difficult component to replace. Swapping major components is a complex process best delegated to Master Riggers. Good luck. GravityGirl 0 #4 December 7, 2003 Just out of curiousity. Why did you purchase this item? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
BlindBrick 0 #6 December 8, 2003 QuoteJust out of curiousity. Why did you purchase this item? That depends. If you mean why did I purchase somethign with so many missing parts, the answer is that the description didn't mention that it wasn't complete. If you mean why did I purchase a mil rig for sport use, the answer is 275 lbs with twenty pounds of canopies, ~10 pounds of clothing/misc. gear, and an elevation of 6600 msl. I needed something that was cheap, grossly overengineered, and capable of holding 300 sf canopies. -Blind"If you end up in an alligator's jaws, naked, you probably did something to deserve it." Rooster 0 #7 December 10, 2003 Try Rodger Conley at Canton Airsports for MT-1X parts. www.canton-airsports.com has the number to the dropzone
piperl4 0 #8 August 6, 2012 What kind of parts do you need, I have a lot of MT-1XX's on hand some for parts some for jumping, Also have a number of MC-4's. I have one MT on Ebay now that will go for less than the parts are worth if I leave it on there. I put a starting price of 400.00 which I know the canopies are worth that so I make take it off and part it out and real shame as it is a very good rig last packed 2/12 Dave
