  1. In addition to the timeframe they left the family home , why would they bring a duck blind to a hi-jacking? From Bruce's article and his interview with the police officer, Arden Dorney: It sounds like they were planning to go hunting. Someone please explain to me the relevancy of when they left Sisters, and when they bought the ticket. I don't think Marla has said when they left Sisters, she's simply said they left and said they were going hunting didn't she? I don't think she said when. Correct me if I'm wrong. I'm guessing the information is probably known about when he bought the ticket. I would assume he bought it when he went to the airport. I don't understand why these questions are important. People seem to dismiss the credit given by the FBI to Marla. Doesn't that carry some weight? As far as Marla's family is concerned, that's what Bruce Smith's article is about. I think it's a pretty good article. The relevancy of a time-frame of events IS important. Can someone be in two places at the same time? Many innocent people use timelines of events as an alibi for a crime they are accused of committing. The driving distance from Sisters to Portland takes 2 hours and 38 minutes. This is assuming that stops were not made along the way; the weather in the mountains did not hamper their progress; or packing a duck blind in a two seater Austin Healy slowed them down. http://www.bing.com/maps/default.aspx?q=portland+to+sisters+oregon&mkt=en-US&FORM=BYFD So this line of questioning is relevant to setting up a time-line of events. When did they leave the home to go turkey hunting? Was it the day of the hi-jacking, was it the evening before? Was it three hours before? Why did they pack a duck blind to hi-jack a plane? The following mental image gave me a laugh. Picture if you will: Dewey is driving the two-seater Austin Healy and L.D. is hanging on to the duck blind. The wind catches the blind and rips L.D. out of the passenger seat at 55 MPH (being conservative here). L.D. hits the pavement hard. OUCH. The injuries sustained by launching yourself out of a vehicle at 55 MPH are consistent with Marla's recollections and could have been a result of scraping the pavement or hitting the ground. 2. In Bruce's interview with Dale Miller (Santa), L.D.'s height and his weight (when he was heavier later in life) were discussed: Melvin Luther Wilson - Missing Person since September 1971: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=03QLnFvk8Fs

  6. I will also "pat myself on the back" as I have found the following facts. Does anyone else see the hidden message aimed toward smokin99 in Farflungs latest video homage. It is all so obvious, I can not believe I did not see it sooner. In the Gilligan's Island theme song, Smokin99's DZ Avatar is displayed for all to see while coincidentally (or is it?) the song croons out "Mary Ann". Does anyone see where this is going? Well....of course not...you need to see this old post (Sep 24, 2009, 11:25 AM Post #13117 of 29336) first to tie it all together. However looking back may be a waste of time (personal observation) so I condensed the source here: Snowmman asks the age old question - Ginger or Mary Ann. 8. Personally, I do not believe it is Bob Knoss. The stories are different, however both are in the same category/conspiracy category. Deathray did not mention MK Ultra, Duane or McCoy in his theories. Somehow I envision both characters wearing aluminum foil hats. Blevins: On another note....the M.W. Cooper comics were quite funny. Farflung: You nailed another one. (I was talking about the video.) Melvin Luther Wilson - Missing Person since September 1971: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=03QLnFvk8Fs

  11. Most guys would rather listen to Marla. And that could be part of the FBI: LDC=DBC problem here. 377 I guess I learned my lesson. I should have sent MY picture in to Curtis Eng in addition to the suspicions I have about my father, Melvin Wilson, and his disappearance in 1971. Silly me, I only sent him my father's information. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hpE1oyHWpG0 Melvin Luther Wilson - Missing Person since September 1971: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=03QLnFvk8Fs

  17. ">http://youtu.be/qagMRM5hF0I What money? Taken from the same ABC News article I referenced in my last post he supposedly lost the money: http://abcnews.go.com/US/db-cooper-exclusive-niece-provide-key-evidence/story?id=14219052#.TtJVQrLTqKv and Melvin Luther Wilson - Missing Person since September 1971: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=03QLnFvk8Fs
  18. Where is this information that Marla stated...Do you have an article or was this personally relayed to you in a conversation? Here is your clicky: http://youtu.be/qagMRM5hF0I In addition, I do not remember what I was obsessed with at the age of 8 or what was pinned to my walls, color of the curtains, what my friends were obsessed with, let alone what anyone in my family was obsessed with. So how long does it take for an eight year old to get that impression over an Uncle's obsession? Did Marla also live at her grandmother's home? Or was she visiting the few days over the holidays. Did she try to take the comic and read it? Did LD yell and scream at her to stay away from his treasured obsession? How does this old memory become so vivid? Did L.D. Cooper speak/read/write French? Did he leave to go turkey hunting in a suit? Where is the briefcase or the clothing he wore? I understand the media only uses what they believe people want to hear or highlight the story. If you know more or can answer any of these questions, then by all means...the floor is yours. Melvin Luther Wilson - Missing Person since September 1971: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=03QLnFvk8Fs
  19. Blevin's questions Marla's claims I questioned the "memory" of the "Dan Cooper" comic from one of Marla's first national media interviews. 1. She states L.D. was obsessed with and had a Dan Cooper comic tacked up on his walls. 2. She implied she only saw her uncle at family gatherings and only one more time that same year at Christmas after the hijacking (which also makes me question the length/size of his sideburns less than one month later, but that is not important in this particular post). From a interview at ABC News with Marla: http://abcnews.go.com/US/db-cooper-exclusive-niece-provide-key-evidence/story?id=14219052#.TtI9JbLTqKs AND in the same interview: To me this sounds like an inconstancy in her vivid memories. Either you knew your uncle well or you only spent time with your uncles at family gatherings. Melvin Luther Wilson - Missing Person since September 1971: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=03QLnFvk8Fs

  23. The word COMPETITION is defined at Dictionary.com as follows: 1. the act of competing; rivalry for supremacy, a prize, etc. 2. a contest for some prize, honor, or advantage: I do not believe I took you out of context. You may have made a mistake and "uttered" it out of context. It brings to mind what one of our professors said to us. Never say anything to anybody that you will regret, truth or not. Once it is said, you can not take it back. It will always be remembered and used to form a lasting opinion of your character. Vickie I don't need to argue with anyone - I am too tired for that. I often say things out of context, but cause I am not one to play with words or to think them out - I just say it. If you ever met me you would understand - I am just an OLD farm girl from KY. P.S. Each of these guys is tooting their suspect as Cooper and I consider that a competition. I am not competing - just trying to tell what I remember and learn what I can about Duane's past. Sorry I am not as literate as some of the others in the thread...and my pain level is getting pretty BAD. Bad enough i can only be here for a little while and come back and try to read the posts and make replies. Who is arguing? I am not. What I am doing is actively listening and dissecting the information and the innuendos. It has never been an argument on this side of the monitor. Melvin Luther Wilson - Missing Person since September 1971: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=03QLnFvk8Fs
  24. and I did not know this was a competition. I thought it was an investigation into finding the identity of the person who hijacked flight 305 on the eve of Thanksgiving 40 years ago. This makes a lot of sense....The one with the most stories......WINS. Screw any actual evidence, such as fingerprints or DNA. I want to know...What is the prize? Is it monetary compensation? Fame and fortune? Taking me out of context Vickie. I always wonder what angle these guys are coming up with. JT, Grey, Dirk, Cook, Bruce and anyone who is writing about Cooper. I do NOT try to counter what they say - nor do I use what the say - but, what if someone came up with a connection (a solid connection between suspects). Anyone interested in Cooper explores all of the research by anyone doing it. The mistake the FBI may have made was looking at each suspect individually, but I look at it all. I study every suspect until there is nothing left shared with me that fit things I have or have been told. I am sorry Jo, but I happen to read what is put in black and white. You said The word COMPETITION is defined at Dictionary.com as follows: 1. the act of competing; rivalry for supremacy, a prize, etc. 2. a contest for some prize, honor, or advantage: I do not believe I took you out of context. 25. After reading your response, I am truly sorry that you took my post personally. However if you re-read my original post you can see that it was a direct reply to Jo and her Freudian slip about "the competition". Farflung realized it right away. However, if he took it to include you that was his thoughts on the subject, not mine. Certain statements stand out and they show true feelings and are self-evident. These statements have special indicia of reliability. "The lady doth protest too much, methinks" ~ William Shakespeare. He sure did have his own theories about human nature and they still stand the test of time. I also had this observation: Blevins states: But in the same post Blevin's contradicts himself: So what is it.....Money, fame, fortune, or delusions? Pick a story and stick with it. I am tired of keeping up with the re-writes. Melvin Luther Wilson - Missing Person since September 1971: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=03QLnFvk8Fs
