I have come forward and asked the FBI to consider looking into our father, Melvin Wilson. Not for the fame. My brother and I just want to know why he vanished off the face of the earth. 45 years ago today, my brother and I used the typewriter in my mom's room. We were told the typewriter belonged to our father. This is what we wrote. Sometimes these two little kids that wrote this letter are still in our hearts and heads. We still continue to wonder where he went. This is why we came forward.

Gee ParrotheadVol you bring up a good point. When I first read this revelation, I too wondered where on the internet was this tidbit of information posted. Of course I did this prior to his usually re-editing of his entire post. At first, I thought he might be scoping out shutter's Cooper site since his post was almost verbatim to what georger had written a few short hours previously. However, that could not be as he never gives the DB Cooper Forum his time or trouble so it could not possible be where he heard it. So I took it upon myself to do a little internet research. I copy/pasted RMB's DZ post. Then I Googled it. The first Google entry was shutter's DB Copper Forum and goerger's post. I looked at all the other Google entries...nuthin'! So....no other internet postings that I could find concerning the Cooper show by the History Channel. However, a year ago at the symposium, I (as well as other Cooper attendees), spoke with Geoff Gray at the Swiss Pub. He told us he sold the movie rights to his book. Then about a month ago I spoke with an interested Cooper party about my contact with William Mitchell. During that conversation I heard about the pending interviews taking place. The following narrative is merely conjecture, but could explain a couple details of the skyjacking: A man suffering a midlife crisis decides to abandon his wife, children and job and abscond to Mexico with a couple thousand dollars of his employers money and possibly a female accomplice. After spending some time out west, the romance wears off and the mans paramour starts missing her family and friends and decides to head back home, leaving the man stranded in an unfamiliar locale, alone. He cannot return home, because he will be arrested and the embarrassment of his predicament is overwhelming. A couple years after fleeing his home, the holiday season approaches and the man is low on funds, missing his children and family and becomes extremely depressed. The thought of going through Thanksgiving with strangers again gnaws at his stomach and he becomes despondent. And Christmas alone again? Terrible. About a week and a half before Thanksgiving, the man reads in newspapers about a bumbling skyjacker named Paul Cini. This clown Cini even makes the national TV news. Broke, hungry and alone, the man who is unable to ever go back home and is at the end of his rope thinks to himself "If I'm going to go out, I'm going to go out big." Improving on Cini's fiasco, the very intelligent man comes up with a plan. If he succeeds or not does not matter because he has nothing, therefore he has nothing to lose. If he dies or is captured, at least he will be famous and get some of the attention he thinks he deserves. If he gets away, he'll have plenty of money to repay his employer if he returns home or at least live on the run a little more luxuriously. The lonely man's mind is set. He does not care if he dies, at least his loneliness with end, and he will be famous. And if he lives, he'll be rich and will have redeemed himself in his eyes. The lonely man sits in the plane, giving orders. He is calm. He accepts his fate. At the end of his flight he steps to the rear of the plane jumps out into oblivion, into anonymity. If Richard Floyd McCoy, with his vast experience in pressure filled situations, was nervous, sweating bullets, and curt with the aircrew, then what would be the mindset of a man in a similar situation that was calm, didn't perspire and was polite throughout the event? Maybe someone who knew he probably wasn't going to make it and was fine with that. Blevins, I think you are right about the names. Jerrie Cobb was probably the maiden name of Jerrie Mock. The surname of the grandchild that announced her death was not Mock. I'll see if I can correct my reply to Jo Weber's original post about Jerrie Mock. Robert99

I have said one thing from the start of the investigation into Kenny. Some people laughed it off, and that's fine, but I still believe it is true: That if Christiansen was Cooper, you aren't going to discover the truth on that strictly through documents, pictures, a house sale, or even a suspicious cash loan. You will find out by the testimony of witnesses, testimony that can be verified enough to interest the FBI in actually checking him out. My intention with Mr Kenny and Mr Bernie is pretty damn simple. It is NOT to somehow twist facts to 'prove' they were involved in the Cooper hijacking. It is to discover the truth on whether they were or not. It's a real easy concept. This is why I finally decided to cooperate with the Geestman family, because it's a big family and I think the truth will eventually come out. It's pretty hard to keep such a big secret forever in families. Members of Geestman's extended family told me in their first interview that they had no clue Bernie was even suspected of being involved until they saw him on History Channel. He didn't even bother to tell them he was going to be on TV. After that happened, they started surreptitiously following everything Kenny-related. The book, reruns of the show, articles, even Dropzone posts. (Some of them admitted they lurk here, but will never post, so they are seeing this now) Then they got hold of me by phone. We talked a few times, then I did my first interview with them. At that time, I provided them with the newest, and most accurate report on all witness testimony and the available evidence. It is much more detailed, and frankly...much more accurate than the original. We spent a couple of hours at the restaurant going over it page by page, and then I let them take copies home. I told them this: "Either those two are guilty as hell, or its the biggest set of coincidences in history..." So....If you had a chance to talk to Tina M (yes, that one) or Bill Mitchell (if you could find him) would you do the following? Here is the scenario that comes to mind when I read your post above (edited). Contact Tina.....or Bill, by phone, letter or email..... Introduce yourself as an investigator into the Cooper hi-jacking as you believe Kenny is the guy. Send a packet with all the information about KC. Why you think he did it and let them study it until they are ready to take a look at the photographs you want to show them. From you previous posts on DZ this is the procedure you used when contacting Bill Mitchell (the wrong one) in Eugene, OR. You set up a meeting, an interview as you call it. Tell them how mean everyone at Dropzone is. That all you seek is the truth. Why can't anyone give you a break.....At this meeting you intend to show them the photos, but as you do it you regurgitate your 25 reasons why you and Skipp believe KC is the guy. Then show the first photograph. As you do, you say, "and this photograph was shown in Decoded and it matches the sketch with a high percentage. Watch what happens when I put the composite on plastic and put it over Kenny's picture? See.....it has to be him. The FBI is so cracked that they can't see this! " Then...do or die time. You plop all the photos out in front of the witnesses. You categorize each photo and tell the story of each scene. This is Kenny when......yada yada yada...You conveniently forget to tell them his height because you do not want Kenny ruled out on something so trivial. Then Tina...(or Bill), take a look at the photograph and say....Well, he does resemble the sketch. Maybe?" BAM.....It has to be Kenny because the witnesses did not say NO! Giving a interviewed person information about specifics surrounding the event that was not previously known, similar to the scenario above, is a type of Confirmation Bias used in interviewing. Confirmation bias, also called myside bias, is the tendency to search for or interpret information in a way that confirms one's beliefs or hypotheses. You are right about that. This is why I prefer taking witness testimony (in a non-threatening manner) with notes and recordings, gathering what documentary or photographic evidence you can that relates to a suspect, researching histories, etc. Follow-up interviews are always good, too. It's a bit like a job search. Always ask the interviewee if they have any thoughts on who you should speak to next. Beats confirmation bias anytime. It is not my fault that some of the people who knew Christiansen best volunteered the things they did in interviews, or that they accused each other of being involved in the hijacking. I simply recorded their answers and tried to verify whether they were telling the truth. The only one who really lied to me in all of this was Bernie Geestman. He lied to everyone he was in contact with regarding his possible involvement in the hijacking. And then...since he was unaware that several witnesses had already placed him with Christiansen the entire week of the hijacking...he tossed Christiansen under the bus on television when they started pressuring him. What would you think? Sometimes I just tell people this: You had to be there. Look, the bottom line here is that sooner or later the truth is going to come out on the whole thing. Either these two did it, or they didn't. There's no middle ground. I have no idea which way it will go, but one of Geestman's family members told me recently: I'm busy trying to convince them otherwise, of course. I have another interview coming up soon. The money was taken from the vault of the bank's downtown facility, and transported to the airport by bank personnel and the Seattle police. The release of cash funds after normal banking hours resulted in a debit to plaintiff's account which was repaid by a transfer credit on the next banking day. Interesting information......and is contrary to what Carr led us to believe. Personally, I did not think that large amounts of cash would be stored in the FBI offices around the country. Walsh is currently accepting interviews with the press and can be contacted at dbcooperfinalsuspect(at)gmail(dot)com and Additionally, Walsh has personal documents of Jarman's that could potentially be analyzed for fingerprints and matched to the hijacker. The F.B.I. and other law enforcement agencies will likely have a mug shot of Jarman on file that can be shown to one of the flight attendants who saw Cooper to get a positive facial identification as well.
