  1. I know I've seen someone on where with it.. I was looking into that design but wanted to put some sort of twist on it.. Stay high pull low
  2. I'll agree Was just curious cause we had one laying around the shop and I had never read anything on that particular model. Thanks DSE Stay high pull low
  3. You're the expert not me!? Stay high pull low
  4. It can take a pro duo, but not sure about being able to park the heads. Stay high pull low
  5. Search came up with nothing.. It has 'SteadyShot Image Stabilization' but I'm not sure whether that's optical or not.. http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/597133-REG/Sony_DCRSR87_DCR_SR87_80GB_Handycam_Camcorder.html Anyone jump one or familiar with it? Stay high pull low
  6. I've never had one and I can recall MANY times one would have been a lifesaver. Decent price, and you can turn them inside out to hide the loco designs.. Stay high pull low
  7. For those chilly days.. http://deals.woot.com/deals/details/8c27b90f-70f1-4589-991e-cb687028dec3/reversible-neoprene-full-face-masks#2 Stay high pull low
  8. Cool! Thanks guys Stay high pull low
  9. Don't forget about Vigil?? That lasts 20 years.. Stay high pull low
  10. Alright cool, so the dealers do the same thing that PD or Aerodyne do themselves. Stay high pull low
  11. I've demo'd from PD and Aerodyne, which you go directly through them. You pay them they send it to you for the week or two etc. But all I can gather about Icarus is that they point you towards dealers, I'm not reading anywhere being able to go through them? Anybody have any input on this? I only see two negative things about this. 1) What if you're not in Eloy, or at SDC or any of the other listed dealers but rather a smaller dz which might be the only one close to you. 2) Most DZ's to demo a canopy will charge you by the day and that can add up quickly; PD charges $95 last I checked and Aerodyne something like $70.. You would be paying that much with just two days from the DZ. Stay high pull low
  12. The red/white would defeat the camo.. ..if you were actually in combat or trying to hide? But we're skydiving.. Edit: Am I the only one not making sense of "rainbow-design" and a camo print? Stay high pull low
  13. Have you thought about the balloons needing to land also? Stay high pull low
  14. When head-down, or say when learning, is it common to find that one foot/leg you prefer forward/backward and always stay with that similar to regular or goofy on a snowboard/skateboard? Or do you usually acquire a sense of ambidexterity between legs? Stay high pull low
  15. Buy a used container sized for the canopy you need at this point in time. After you plateau off from downsizing, then look into a new container. Stay high pull low
  16. Pulse will pack pretty small.. especially compared to the same size pilot. But +1 to above.. Stay high pull low
  17. I meant to say it in a tone of "I know this for a fact" rather then it sounding like a question Right. I've been to some DZ's where the only rigs they have for students are no smaller than 210. Sure this is sound practice especially concerning students; My first AFF was a 210, but that lasted 2 jumps at most before starting to downsize since I'm only 135. IMO the best idea as most DZ's follow is to start large as hell, just being on the safe side. Then obviously you watch the student progress, their landings, etc and put them on what is necessary. (Factoring in weight and WL too of course) Stay high pull low
  18. I'm pretty sure the nav's are like the 190's or up.. 210's or so.. How small do nav's even go? I was on their sabre2's down to 150 renting at one point. (Implying student/rental gear are the same rigs) Stay high pull low
  19. I've been dying to get my hands on an old 2nd gen rabbit for a project car but it hasn't worked out yet. Currently have an 07 rabbit but the old vw is where it's at.. Stay high pull low
  20. A reserve repack website? In short, (and theory at this point..) each user would be able to create their own account on the website, and after logging in can select the date of their last pack, and obviously it shows when it needs to be repacked by. After that passes, pick the new date, etc.. Additional features could include email and text message reminders, and who knows what else at this point. Maybe it could be integrated with dz.com, or perhaps stand alone. Would you guys use this? What suggestions can you add? Stay high pull low
  21. If you have the ability to meet someone, wouldn't that mean you have the ability to drive to sdc? Stay high pull low
