  1. Medium, long sleeve is cool but whatever Let me know if you need any other help! Stay high pull low
  2. DVD Decryptor on Windows, dvd::rip on Linux. I also suggest you do not recode your DVDs, leave them as images. Disk space is cheap nowadays. For sure.. I'm planning on setting up a new fileserver for myself and I wouldn't plan on anything less than 2 tb drives in raid (I'm a raid kind of guy I suppose..) Stay high pull low
  3. I'm game to help promote anytime.. I'm from Illinois Stay high pull low
  4. It's CSPA A liscence, not an USPA A liscence. And it's the right number
  5. If you search there's atleast one thread on here I've read that goes into detail about it. Long story short you're correct, the handle isn't the best idea; it isn't too common but it really just depends where you jump. By the way, you must be mistaken with your A license number, if you just got it you'll be over 55,000 Stay high pull low
  6. Giving away shirts? I'm in Stay high pull low
  7. Actually Mr. V, we discover things we don't know by posting our thoughts and getting responses - unless of course you don't want people to know more about your tunnel. My knowledge of today's tunnels is very incomplete. I wasn't aware that they were that tall. I can certainly see how a tunnel deployment could be fatal. Thanks for informing me about your tunnel. Maybe it will also inform someone who was afraid to post for fear of being told not to. More flies with honey, Kirk. I'll go to Denver where they send reps out to recruit at places like Raeford during Skyfest. +3 Stay high pull low
  8. I'm currently using Magic's ripper; anyone have any suggestions? Not worries so much about speed (as that is hardware dependent as well) but quality.. Stay high pull low
  9. It's a little more realistic than "almost impossible" to get killed skydiving. So I'm thinking that you are targeting the glider incident with the "almost impossible." Stay high pull low
  10. Thanks for the advice; I'll post back in about 150 jumps Stay high pull low
  11. You don't even want to know where I've been slacking to spare some money for jumps May sound like a dumb question, but often times a helmet can be as much as the camera. Do most people find the helmet, and THEN find the camera? I guess in most cases you can find any box you need and mount that to your helmet so I'm going to say obviously the helmet? 12. Fixed your mistake there He could live outside America? (Of course it's impossible to tell due to the lack of profile info) but here in South Africa our skydiving body only requires 100 jumps before jumping a camera. Check the profile, I'm in the US And I am fine with waiting until 200, it's a great benchmark (even when considering that it's specific to each person) Stay high pull low
  13. That's the kind of info I was looking for, thanks! And I just put out the technological term to keep it short. I know a bit about what happens; I plan on running my own site sometime, but then again, most people don't care about the loss in quality and just want to post to youtube. Are there any newer cameras by chance that would fit in the same box a 109 does by luck? Stay high pull low
  14. First thing first, worry about your own ass before others.. Stay high pull low
  15. I understand youtube isn't the best judging tool, as most people aren't the most technologically advanced.. Do you have any footage that would represent the camera better? As for me (I'll get to my profile when I have a little more time..) I am approaching 50 jumps; I don't plan on flying a camera until well passing 100, however I am just trying to think a few steps ahead as I am looking at a helmet thats box is made for a 109. 16. That video is way better quality then a few I stumbled upon, they all seemed way more low quality and grainy.. Do you have quality settings maxed out in that video? Or are you toning them down a bit for the sake of space? Stay high pull low
  17. By looking at it you can tell the canopy is 'airworthy' in that state. Although something goofy is going on with the lines, all cells are inflated, and even though you have the 2 curling down, that isn't going to affect much with 7 above you. After the S checks, I would make sure that the left toggle input was enough to keep you flying straight. Beyond that, I would make sure that I wasn't having to fully flare the left side to fly straight, because if you had to do that you wouldn't have much flare. Stay high pull low
  18. So after reading numerous threads here it occurs to me that the PC109 might be somewhat of an outdated camera; most threads were in 2004 ha. Does anyone still use one? I'm looking for a first camera, so nothing that needs to break the bank nor look phenomenal; would it still do the job? Does anyone have any videos they could link me to that were shot with the PC109? Blues Stay high pull low
  19. You make a valid point, but in order for the TI to be noticed as in question, someone has to jump with him. So you either find out that way, or by watching a video of the jump he took an innocent, unknowing paying customer. I might have worded it wrong; I don't mean for a TE to be sent specifically to a TI in question to 'make a verdict', I mean for TE's or whomever to be sent to random DZ's, jump with random TI's, at random times. I agree with you, if the TI is already in question, there shouldn't be any more jumps until something is figured out. Stay high pull low
  20. Of course true, but I'm sure many would take on the job for the sake of safety concerning these TI's in question! Stay high pull low
  21. I am from USA.. I wasn't sure if they did anything similar to what I asked, hense why I asked Stay high pull low
  22. I'm sorry, what? Stay high pull low
  23. Has USPA ever thought of sending out instructors posing as tandem students to covertly evaluate TI's once every once in a while? Stay high pull low
