    Baggy or tight?

Levin still can't speed up. Heeheehee Love you man.

    Baggy or tight?

Ramon is right on the money. When I first started HD I felt like I was never going to be able to slow down. Start out with a double or triple lined FF suit and over time you will perfect a technique hence you will start slowing down with the more experience you get. Five years later and about 2000 freeflys I now jump in a t-shirt and freefly pants. Good luck. I like it herein this forum, those guys over in swooping have a chip. I'm so happy to be a freeflier.
  3. You guys are starting to sound like bellyflyers. I feel alot of tension when I come into this forum. I'm sure I'll get ditched for my opinion too. Admitting that I am not one of the better swoopers(two femurs later) but I have to agree with the comment about controlled stopping of your swoops shows exactly how good you really are. If we don't put some sort of requirement on stopping, the next thing we're going to see on drop zones is everyone wearing leathers, swooping downwind and sliding in on their ass then hopping up and saying Wow did you see that bad-ass swoop. When did we give up technique for distance. I'm just worried about the new kids coming up jumping itty-bitty canopies and always sliding in and using the pros as an example. My 2 cents just like everyone elses.
  4. Well then, Looks to me that we could possibly set a foundation for a dropzone.com freefly record. Go Big... Bryan
  5. Well here it is Thursday afternoon and I'm getting ready to call it a day and I only have seven RSVP's for the big-ways. I sure hope we have some people crash the party. Was hope'n to scrape up at least 13 or 14. Hey Levin, you think Ann can hang with a 10-way? I hear she falls kinda fast. teehee. Go Big, Bryan
  6. So what are the rules to claim a Dropzone.com freefly record? I think there will be atleast 4 or 5 of us at Waller this weekend. Bryan

    Freefly schools

You will have to get in touch with them about tunnel camps. When I spoke to Dave Brown I was under the impression he could take students into the tunnel any time. Bryan

    Freefly schools

Everyone over in Florida does a great job, although the main focus should be to get your moneys worth. I had the opportunity to spend a few days learning some organizing skills from Dave Brown(from The Freefly Training Center) at Project Horizon. He is extremely thorough and to really get your moneys worth, he can set you up for some tunnel training. Atleast check their website out at www.freeflytrainingcenter.com. If you talk to Dave tell him Bryan from the Gravity Rats told you about him. Good Luck and go big, Bryan GR-2
  9. I should be in Houston sometime Friday. Going to try and mix it up a little bit for everyone. Do some small 4 and 6-ways Friday and Saturday, then Saturday afternoon on into Sunday for as many people that will hang around, we are going to shoot at some 10 and 12-ways. Hope the guys from Dallas can make it and bring a couple more. If everyone could pass it around and maybe RSVP at [email protected]. So I can have some idea of how many are showing up. I already have some really cool 8-ways and a 12-way organized. Thanks for everyones support and it is really cool to see the entire freefly community of Texas stick together like this. See ya'll in Waller and you guys up there in Dallas, hope your dz is ready for us next month. Go Big... Bryan P.S. Check out this month's Parachutist about Project Horizon before you come out. Hope to see more Texas FF's next year.

    San Marcus ~ Ratz

Talk to Robert about that one. He's in charge of GR#'s. You know he's the Big Kahuna, El Numero Uno, the all mighty, all powerful Gravity Rat # 1. I'm like the Robin to his Batman, the BooBoo to his Yogi, well you get my drift.

Its awfully quiet in here today. Are we the only four people that are not at the dz on a Friday at 3 o-clock. I don't know about Houston but SM is nasty today. Hope it gets better. Oh and you guys don't worry about me, I was just trying to pull the ol' jedi mind trick. Reverse psychology, trying to get her to hurry her ass up and post that video. hehe. See ya'll next week.

Wow, somebody has a short fuse. I was not being impatient, I just thought I was looking in the wrong place for the videos. I apologize for upsetting you so, I will never ask for anything from you ever again. Bryan

Ok Snowflake, your not helping. I went to both AirAnn.com and Cyberskydive.com and I saw no videos to watch. I feel like I'm on a wild goose chase. Where are these videos hiding. GR#2

OK, call me a big dummy but where is it that we go to see these videos?

    That was fun

Those numbers get issued from your friendly neighborhood GR#1 Robert Smith. I think his only stipulation is that you "jump" with him. You think you can handle that Mistress Ann. See ya next weekend, we'll both be there. Faithful Sidekick GR#2

    That was fun

Don't take it personal SF, they're just jealous that they can't throw their arms and legs around like that and stay in a sit position. hehe That was on purpose, right? GRat2

Hey Ann, Thanks for the post, other than having an ulcer and recovering from a nervous breakdown I now feel like the weekend went off fairly well. As for the big-way stuff, that was thrown together pretty quick but most of us have plans of getting together at Waller for the CASA weekend to try it again. All the talk is the state record was set a couple of years ago in Waller with seven people from all over the U.S. Last Sunday we had eight people for over 3 seconds with all but one from Texas. Brandon being from Oklahoma, we thought what the heck. So to all you freefliers in Texas, come on out to Waller on the weekend of June 1st and lets break the record again. If not we will still have alot of fun. Go Big!!! Bryan GR2
  18. Just got back from Project Horizon in Lake Elsinore and learned more than my brain could possibly hold. There was so much outstanding talent there it was unbelievable. I will bring as much as I can remember with me. Also have dive flows and videos from the event, everything from cool piece turning 4-ways to a bad ass 16-way from about 17,000 feet. Go Big...

    Spaceland FFF

Well nobody could miss me. I'll be the one running around trying to catch every otter load with the orange freeflysuit, looks kinda like I should be picking up trash on the side of the highway. See all yall there. Bryan GR2
  20. I think a really good full face freefly helmet is a great idea. When I say good, I mean one that is not bulky and doesn't have a tendency to rip your head off in a stand. This might be a good place to spend a little R&D money. Might be a good idea to design this without the idea of a camera in mind. I see alot of the bulk in freefly helmets stemming from mounts and what not. Of course my opinion is if you want to take your freeflying serious, get someone to video you and take the camera off your head. The early bird may get the worm but the Rats always get the cheese.
