I've always heard the best thing to do is to put them in a neutral room in the house without contact with another cat. After a day or two they will be more prone to adjust to the rest of their surroundings better. This lady puts feral cats in an enclosed territory while they adjust (The Pasture Project). I know your cat probably won't be feral, but she has 700+ cats. Thanks all! This stuff definitely isn't enough stuff to where it really takes up physical room, just a lot of mental space. I still remember everything from back then and how it's all made me who I am today and for that I am grateful-- for the painful reminders I am not; therefore, I will be throwing a majority of that crap out.

people are always down to throw something together. it's always a good time around gold coast... i dont think there are very many super-serious/competition rw'ers out there anymore if that's what you are looking for--but all that means is there may be some room for improvement & may be some peeps out there interested in getting something like that together. i think one of the national teams still goes out there occasionally to practice i love my gold coast family! I don't know if it's proper forum etiquette to reply to most people in one post, but dammit, I'm doing it anyway Jessicat & Karlm -- thanks for the input. I'm going to try the papaya thing. I'll probably try the pills and the juice, to see which may work better. billvon--I've pretty much ruled out aerophagia...I barely ever drink carbonated beverages and I've even gone as far as keeping a pencil in between my teeth during idle time (it's supposed to relax the throat so that you can't swallow air). But thanks for the input! Jsbird--Activia is indeed part of my diet these days. Yogurt & cheese both have the active cultures that are supposed to help digestion...they may not work, but at least they taste good! My aunt brought to my attention today that it may be fiber. I'm an almost-vegetarian (I prefer the term 'selective meat-eater') as in I don't eat processed meat or anything that looks gross. Apparently too much fiber in your system can cause gas of all sorts, so that makes sense. They say lots of vegetarians suffer from gas because they eat too healthy. Therefore, I am definitely gonna take yalls advice on trying supplements that help break down foods & fibers & such. Thank you for all the replies, yall have a been a great help. "Love all. I've had numerous counts of bloodwork done in the past year and so far they say all is well. Maybe I'll get it done again and ask specifically for them to check for h pylori. That's the boyfriend doctor...he is a gastroenterologist. (sp?) I've had an upper endoscopy, barium test, and ultrasound of my gallbladder. As for the diet, no doubt about it!! I love vegetables and fiberlicious things so I know that doesn't do any good. I try to lessen it as much as possible, but I plan on seeing a nutritionist when I'm back in NY. Thanks for your input!!!
