  1. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Good Vibes~~~~~~~~~~~~ Zofo
  2. Hey Brittany! Glad to see you too. Ya, I just love that crazy Sicilian! We go back to when I first started jumping almost six years ago. I haven't him in about a month, though. How's the army? Julie
  3. I've never been a holy roller, but I am a Christian. I know exactly what you mean about other people calling Christians hypocrites if they see us doing something that they perceive as sinful. I don't pay a lot of attention to them, though. I know that my faith is a matter between God and me. I don't pass judgement on my friends who are athiests or agnostics, and I don't expect them to pass judgement on me. Julie
  4. Their freefall was scary to watch, with her arms and legs flailing out of control. At one point, I thought I saw them starting to go over onto their sides, then they were on their bellies again and he suddenly seemed to have her under control. Was that my imagination or fancy editing? Good job by the tandem guy, whoever he is! I thought it was funny when she said later that she had conquered her fear! Julie
  5. Aw shucks We bumpy brothers do enjoy making sure that our new family members feel welcome and loved! I'm sure that there will be body shots aplenty at the Harvest Moon Boogie-----and guys-----Casadora will probably be administering some of them. Zofo
  6. My totally unbiased opinion is that you should come to St. George. Zofo
  7. I was born into the family during the Harvest Moon Boogie in October of 2000. Zofo
  8. You don't still wear those wheels on the side of your head, do ya? Julie
  9. I don't personally know Ed, either. I do, however, know his reputation in the skydiving community as someone of integrity. (I'm very surprised to see how many here don't.) I think that the ad is a very fine tribute by Ed to those who were lost last year. I remember right after it happened, people over on the wreck were anxious to get a copy of that picture, knowing that no one would ever again fly past the Twin Towers. Julie
  10. I didn't try to "steamroll" you. I disagreed with what you said about people posting about this. Nor did I imply that Mike and his boys are not an "ABSOLUTE BLESSING" to this sport. Yes, I know what you meant. You didn't want anyone to discuss the show. No one is asking you to discuss the case, a.f.a.i.k.; so feel free not to do so. That's your right. It's also the right of those who want to discuss it to do so. It's an unsolved murder of the wife of a well-known figure in skydiving. Why wouldn't people be interested in it? Nobody here has insinuated that Mike did it. Nobody has insulted him in any way. Nobody, including me, has been disrespectful toward him or his family. If you want to defend Mike, that's fine (and you'll have plenty of company); but wait until there's something against which he needs to be defended. Yes, this is a public forum, which means that anyone, including Mike, is free to read what's here. This is NOT talking behind his back. And yes, I am doing the right thing and being respectful. Now, here's what I came away with from the show: I had, of course, heard the story before---nothing new there. But what really struck me was what a beautiful and accomplished woman Holly Mullins was. I'd never seen a picture of her before, nor was I aware of all that she'd accomplished in her short life. Maybe they didn't get along at the end (as so often happens in marriages) but what a couple of remarkable people! Julie
  11. Daaaaaamn, Mike! It was a big enough surprise to find that JimBo lurks over here. Now I'm just freakin' out! Julie
  12. Very sad news, indeed. Condolences to their families and friends, as well as to the dz family. What a huge loss! Blue skies forever to the fallen ones. BSBD, Julie
  13. I have to admit it: logic and reason are SOO dull when compared to a good ol' emotional knee-jerk reaction. Julie
  14. Really? Then what did you mean by, "Give it a break people...let the dead dog lie"? Looked to me as if you were telling everyone to stop discussing it. It's unrealistic to expect that, given that Mike is a national director and a well-known personality in the skydiving world. At the time that you posted that, only six people had posted anything at all; and not one of those came close to insulting Mike or his boys. (Why would you expect anyone to insult the boys, anyway? They were small children when the murder took place.) As for Mike, I don't think he's afraid of what people have to say. If he was, wouldn't he have maintained a low profile all these years? Julie
  15. That's a great pic.....you guys are a good-lookin' couple.
