+1. If this was such a bad road how come other host DZ's never had to charge more for the competitors to compete like you propose? How come this was never an issue before with other host DZ's or with the USPA who is the governing organization behind this competition. Again, this is NOT "Spaceland National Skydiving Competition." It just seems to me like everything you stated above was trying to be twisted to seem like this was benefiting the USPA and skydivers/competitors when in reality the only people having anything to do with this or benefiting from it is Skydive Spaceland. Also the fact that the marketing firm is just Skydive Spaceland under a different name for terms of marketing can put all and any earlier posts that maybe the marketer was behind this and made Spaceland enter this agreement. Anybody who knows anything about the personality of this dz knew where this was coming from the whole time. Trust me everyone get's you dont like spaceland and you jump at another local houston DZ. At least tell people your intention's. I haven't said anything about your "opinion's" yet but you keep ragging spaceland. Maybe he should look for older adult's (that live away from the inner city) to be mentor's for the inner city kids. Big brother type thing that he can watch over. That may keep kids from getting to far down the family tree but i dont see its relivence here. The fact is the black comunity has the highest abcent father rate. There are way to many single mother's raising kid's on there own. The issue need's to be solved with the mentality of the kids today. Thats the only way to change what is happening. That doesnt seem to include welfare, local social services etc. About the legal side, I would bet that more money is spent on charging illegal's with crimes rather than illegals being charged with just being illegal as you are suggesting. That is one of the biggest problems we have in this country. I dont know if this will help but when i grew up, I lived on the south side of dallas. My family was low low middle class, and i grew up in a very bad neighborhood. They only thing that got me out of that area (and lifestyle) was noticing how nice it was in other area's. Also seeing my whole family (30+) strugle there whole life. I want to be more and get away from that crap. So i wored harder and stayed out of finacial isues (debt, back due taxes, etc). So the only thing i can say is a good metouring program and showing the kids that there is a better life outside of the getto. Get the kids out of the mindset that this is what my life will always be like no matter what i do. Most of the people i grew up around had that mindset, so they never tried to be anything cause they didnt think it would help. Dout this is what yourlooking for but maybe it will help. I understand where your coming from but it would cut down cost by alot! You cant get rid of all of the illegal's. The way our imigration policy's are we cant get enought legal imigrants here to cover the jobs that would be lost. So in other words they're contributing taxes. Do you think they file for refunds, or are they generally too afraid? I don't think we should have a wide-open swinging door for immigration. The problem is i think they clame more depedent's than they have since they wont be filing for a refund and there illegal. So they contribute some but not as much as they should. They are not the total source of our problem but they are a major part of it. That is a whole other topic but my opinion is that they way they hurt our economy is by welfare/SS/ and medical. Cool lets see if they will raise the min. wage so more company's will lay off more people Great idea! Then they'll only lay off American workers because, according to you, "Most illegals get paid above min. wage!" Actually if you check it out most people that earn min. wage are part time, and most are school students. The avg. person stay's at min. wage for 8 mounth's (or something close to that) before they start getting raises. Was your first job above min. wage? I know most people have to start somewere! No i do not but i have ran several company's (and know alot of other owner's) that hired mostly illegals due to the fact that the average illegal will work harder (in a manual labor job) than the avg. american. When a company hires legal workers i would say that 1 out of 5 turn out to work hard for there living. But if they hire illegals then it's closer to 4 out of 5 work hard for there living. They people i have worked for and know pay the illegal working the going rate that they would pay the legal worker. I guess they feel it's worth the risk. I have never asked them. I dont think there are enough unemployed (legal citizens that are willed or able to work) people in the US to cover all of the job's that are curently held by illegals, but if there was then overall amount made by that group would go up slightly. Due to the fact that there are some employers out there that do take advantage of the illegals. But most employer's are paying above min. wage. Nothing opens like a Deere! You ignorant fool!
