  1. I am a PADI Dive Master and I know your pain. I HATE TO LOG DIVES. So I recomend that you buy a dive computer that can hook up to your home computer and then its real easy. My computer is a sherwood wisdom and it works like a champ. You kill 2 birds with one stone cause you no longer have to have those pesky dive charts.
  2. This coming from expierence and the fact that I am in Iraq right now. Alot of the people over in this country are happy we came and did what we did. Some are not (crazies/terrorists) and some have lost loved ones most bad some good and they are not happy about it but its war. Look what we did with europe when we took out germany. We rebuilt and entire contenent and didnt ask for a thing in return. Well their is my to cents and you can take it for what its worth. If you have any question about what its like pm me.
  3. I got a new Micron from UPT and they gave me 35% off of the order unless it was extras like tie dye and sky hook and anything like that was 15% off.
  4. I know I should have put more on. but I dont think I could possibly list all the beers out in the world.
  5. I want to know where we skydivers sit as far as our beer choices. For me its a hard choice however I wouldnt drink a CAS if it was free.
  6. They call a parkway a parkway when you drive in it? They call a driveway a driveway when you park in it? They call a hot water heater a hot water heater when you dont want to heat hot water?

    Boobies

Just to let everyone know boobies are very important in threads for morale to people serving in Iraq "ME". SO SUPPORT THE TROOPS LADIES AND POST AWAY. By the way I am leaving Iraq soon so this is just an excuse to see more!
  8. Ok I have worked on Aircraft for about the past six years and I am a Collateral Duty Inspector. As a "CDI" I do no "work" in that I watch people do the work and inspect the work after it is done. I was just thinking if the same precautions where taken on reserve repacks maybe mistakes could be drastically reduced. Yes you may have to pay more but is it not worth the extra few buck? Could this policy also lengthen the repack requirements? Two riggers are better than one, one would think. Quality Assurance is the only thing that matters in something as important as the "ONE". A worker and an inspector would be the way to fix this OTHER THAN A BOOT IN THE ASS OF FORSAID PACKER. Again this is only speaking from an aircraft inspector. Please let me know what you packers think.
  9. Hey BUD heard you are in NY. I am heading back up to the NORTH COUNTRY in July. "PLATTSBURGH" I am worried about the amount of jumping I will be able to do in NY. Hope to jump with you sometime. Eric
  10. WOO HOO! My MICRON V310 is in AND EARLY It is tye dye black and royal blue with a split lightining and in the split lightning it is tye dye red and yellow along with the pillows. It will providing a home for a new Sabre2 150 and an optimum 143! I wish I could see the damn thing but I will be back to the DZ in MAY after I get back from IRAQ. I WILL BE ONE JUMPING FOOL. I would just like to say the UPT has been so helpfull and if you are military the will give you a 35% discount also if you need a canopy and are in Hawaii Jason Askeruth is just KICK ASS up at SkyDive Hawaii. Well anyway BLUE SKIES ERIC
  11. The honorable John McCain also spent years in a POW camp and while at the POW camp he was treated horribly. I think that the comment even if mean and harsh should be understood that it was from a man who had extreme life experiences. Senator Obama had a choice to belong to the church he is affiliated with and Senator McCain did not choose to be captured. My other big thing about Obama is that he has done drugs. You can’t get in the military without a hard to get waver if you have done the drugs senator Obama has done. Do you think he should be allowed to be the COMMANDER IN CHIEF of the military if he had done those drugs?
  12. Just wondering I am heading to GERMANY for some medical reasons and might have some time to jump. I am deployed to Iraq so I don't have a log book or my rig. I have my USPA card. Does anyone know of good drop zones with good rental gear near Launchtuel and I have no Idea if i actually spelled it close to right. But if you do let me know I would like to do a jump.
  13. Another side question then. How is it possible to have a pilotchute in tow or a horse shoe mal when the pilotchute is in the container with the Main. if the main comes out the pilot chute has to come out or vice versa. the premature deployment I can understand but the other two seem to be eliminated. You could have a PUD in tow but if that happens at least your not deploying your reserve through something that is large and hanging off your back.
  14. I wanted it more for the elimintation of the horseshoe, pilot shoe in tow, and pre mature deployment mals. But it does look alot better and its just one more upside.
  15. Ok I have V3 Micron with a pull out. I would like to fly a wing suit and want to know how to mod my rig so its like a pull out without putting spandex on the rig and poluting the look. I dont plan flying a wing suit most of the time however still want the ability to do so. Thanks for the help.
  16. Well I just purchased a Micron and opted for the Pull Out not throw out. So wing suit wouldnt be an option? I wanted the Pull Out for the elimination of some malfunctions however did not consider wing suit flying. Now I am kinda looking at it and wondering if I am going to ever be able to try wing suit with the rig a purchased.
  17. Is a Pull Out "PUD" out of the question for wing suit flying?
  18. Do you know his name? I know a number of guys that are in the navy or just got out that jump up at SDH
  19. Well I am in the US NAVY and currently deployed to Iraq at least until JUNE. I did my first skydive in 03 in Florida. As soon as I hit the ground I knew it was something I wanted to get into. Money however did not agree. I was in Iraq from May to Dec 06 and as soon as I got back to Hawaii I signed up for AFF at Skydive Hawaii. I enjoyed every minute of it and have everyone up at SDH to thank Specially Johnny Stewart, Johnny Guru, Big Jim, and Randy. All of them pushed me to better myself at all times. I now only have 70 skydive. Now that I am back to the sand box and making some money I went out and got all new gear. WOOOOO! I got a Micron, a Sabre2 150, and a Optimum reserve. Well anyway BLUE SKIES ERIC
