  1. One of the best changes I ever made in my life was abolishing the notion that I needed to please everyone. At this time in my life my decisions revolve around myself, my wife, my son, and my daughter and that's it. Life has become so much simpler. You cannot possibly be fair to everyone, so be fair to yourself and do whatever it is you feel like you need to do to start enjoying YOUR life. James
  2. I was beginning to wonder if Robert Earl was gonna be brought up. Hey Dave, you should check out one of his proselytes named Rodney Hayden . . the kid is really good. He finally put out a CD called "the Real Thing". Check him out James
  3. Man brought about all the hate and sadness in this world, not God. I think the thing to realize here is that God created us with a freewill. For him to intercede and make everything perfect and to cause us to blindly follow and love him like a bunch of robots would void mans freewill. What God wants is for us to love and trust him from our hearts, not because we have to, but because we want to, you know . . . real, genuine love. Make no mistake about it, God is not the reason things are the way they are, man is . . it's all a plethera of by-products from mans sinful nature. James
  4. Warehouse parking lot after a Jimmy Buffet concert . . . security gaurd walked up on us and asked us to take it somewhere else . . . total surprise, no time for covering up.
  5. I agree, I'm definately not an atheist either, however it's sadly realistic that we aren't 'one nation under God', nor do we as a country trust in God, so why recite or print blatant lies . . . be honest and remove 'em. my two cents, James
  6. just now starting to get serious about the sport myself, but I'm starting to understand what y'all are saying . . find myself thinking about it all the time. This sport will hopefully keep me out of the same old friends garage, getting drunk every weekend . . . but, you never know.
  7. What sucks even worse is being stuck on the ground while actually having money to jump . . . some of us idiots work too much. Good luck finding a good job, Jo James
  8. Sorry bout that, here it is . . .
  9. Hey aggie, Nothing funny or vulgar, but I thought it came out nice. A wallpaper shot I put together for a pal. James Champion 2
  10. I started flight school a few years ago, got about 20 hours into it and then went through a divorce that more or less ended it. My budget is a bit streamlined these days, but my present wife is diligently admonishing me to get back into it instead of just talking about it. My question is this, I'm 32 now and wondered what kind of compensated flying future could there be if I choose to take it that far, and how many flight hours vfr and ifr would I need to land a job? Bear in mind, I want to fly just to fly, not so much to one day get paid for it. Just curious what might be available. For some reason, I have this idea that my age might be a problem, I feel like I'm starting again late. James
  11. ALLLLLLLRIGHTY THEN!!
  12. We usually catch the river in New Braunfels, I agree Dave, nothin like a lazy day on the river with BEER. BTW, Pat Green RULES. Have you ever heard Rodney Hayden, he's one of Robert Earls proselytes, The kid is great. We usually catch him at the White Elephant in Fort Worth. Check this out, you may've already seen it. James
  13. I completely agree. Unfortunately, people who believe in *EARNING* their place in the world seem to be in the minority these days. Everybody loves a handout. James
