Sunday... Weather looks a little warmer and there's a mostly good forecast. Anyone planning on heading out?

I hear TJ is going to be working there?? I jumped with him in delmarva... Anyway, question(s). I couldn't find anything in the SIM about balloon/helicopter jump requirements. What is the boogie requiring for the jumps? I have 60 jumps and an A license. I *may* have water training before then. thanks

Au Contraire... I read the forums on here to get a general idea of how long the Cypres 2 would take and found 3-4 weeks to be a minimum (including shipping). Since I wanted the cypres shipped to Sunrise Manuf. to be installed in my new container, I asked SSK if they could tell me an ETA on it (so I could let Sunrise know when to expect it). They said 3-4 weeks (less anything strange come up in the testing), and it took 3-4 weeks. They also have an online system where you can tracked when it was received, shipped, etc. I found their customer service to be excellent, & they replied to any questions via telephone or email within a day. Honestly, being a new skydiver and recently buying all my gear, I've found all the manufacturers/dealers I've worked with to have surprisingly exceptional customer service.

I never buy presents for my family and they always give me guilt-trips about it. It's really freaking annoying because I don't know what to get them, they won't tell me, and I don't have as much $ as them anyway. So this year, I'm donating some f my meager salary to 2 charities and giving them cards that say $ was donated on their behalf. That'll show them, and it's a good cause. Me, I got myself a shiny new Wings/Pilot/Smart getup.

Have you guys jumped the last few weeks? I'm just waiting for a weekend for the weather to not be crap! I hear it's freezing up there! -chrissy

Arvel, haven't seen you at Delmarva since you jumped w/ me (my first kiss pass ) . Was i that bad? Congrats on the lottery bigway! I often think about what i would do with that much money. Well, it's my first trip away from the home DZ. My friend and I will be at C-Burg tomorrow and would *love* to jump with any experienced RWers that don't mind jumping with new A license kids! Please be nice to us! My first 40 jumps were at Delmarva, btw.

Word, 450 is a ripoff. I'm a finance geek and made this spreadsheet (attached) to assist my gear purchase. It assumes different dealer prices. If it's informative at all to people considering buying one of these, than my geekiness has paid off.

On NOFX's newest album I usually have to play "The Man I killed" and "USA-holes" at least twice because they are *that* good.

*bump* There's another one of these for sale. Just for the record, I bought one on here for a very reasonable price and it worked out for both of us. But I'm a new jumper and this thread helped me understand the value of these things, so I wanted to put it out there again.

Go to the federal hill area for bars, they are way better- the Dog Pub, (formerly known as Thirsty Dog), :beer: has homemade beer for cheap and awesome pizza. Mum's is a great dive bar in fed hill, very SoBo. If you are in Fells, go to Max's- 4 million (i might exaggerate) kinds of exotic beers. In Mt Vernon (gay/theatre district, but some great places to eat/ drink) go to the Brewer's Art on Charles St. Dungeon-y, great homemade beers (including the [in]famous resurrection). Museum-type stuff: visionary Arts Museum http://www.avam.org/ and the aquarium Try to sign up for a trapeze lesson at the harbor! http://baltimore.trapezeschool.com/ Don't go to power plant, hard rock, etc. These places are soul-less and boring! Drive 2 hours (across the scenic bay bridge) to Skydive Delmarva, and jump!!! PM me for any specific Q's, i live in baltimore and have yet to get shot, raped, mugged, or asfixiated. And i regularly have a good time.

I wish I could've been there to watch, but I was trapsing around South America. TJ is my hero!

I know it's been mentioned in this thread, but... I have 2 tandems and 6 AFF jumps (one more level to go!). No less than three of my friends have asked if i can tandem jump with them when i'm done AFF. When i say I'll need a few more thousand jumps, they say "But I'd feel so much safer jumping with you!" Are you RETARDED??!?!?! Safer with me than with a certified TM with 500-6000 jumps under his belt?
