Funny thing.... when I was in 6th grade our class did a 60's medley show in place of our christmas concert (was our music teacher an ex-hippie... w/o a doubt!) Anyway... I loved all the stuff we sang so much, the first cd I bought ended up being the beatles anthology 3... and, I still know every word to "the age of aquarius" now, to name a few... the beach boys, bob dylan, simon and garfunkel, dr. hook, peter paul and mary, neil young, the who.... and don't even get me started on the 70's.

Nice! I also put up posters at school with flashy graphics and my phone number... I've had a pretty good response from those too. I'm trying to get the school's outdoor program involved... I'll jump for free forever if I pull that off. Well, unfortunately I don't think I'd be as lucky at my school... it's only got around 2,000 students and as far as extra curriculars... if you don't play baseball, basketball, or softball, you're kinda SOL on our campus.... boo Although, I have to say, I am rather surprised at the number of people I've had contact me through facebook when they found out I'd jumped and was wanting to put something together again. I hate to sound like a broken record already, but WildFan has been helping me out a lot lately with the same issue. My friend and I were going to go through the AFF training at Skydive Twincities, until she informed me that we could actually get all 25 jumps plus all the extras (gear, etc) through the S/L training for less than half of what we would have paid to do just the first 7 jumps through AFF..... my friend and I will be starting our training on April 14th at Wissota, if you're a poor college student like us, (or just poor in general - like us!) you might want to think about doing S/L at Wissota instead. I watched some of the deep ocean episode, and I was thinking the same thing... it looked like computer animation in some of the scenes... This is a different subject completely, but did anyone watch "expedition borneo" or whatever it was called? It aired awhile back, but THAT was awesome...... ! This is true.... Wisconsin summers are usually great, but it's the winters that I'm wanting to get away from! I did some tandems at Skydive Hawaii when my friend and I were there a couple weeks ago, and I couldn't get over how crazy the DZ was! We jumped out of a Caravan.... that was quite a change as well.... seeing as the first 3 tandems I did were at a very small DZ near Green Bay where the plane was only big enough to take the pilot, myself & my TM, and the videographer... that was a club too, so when I went to the Skydive Hawaii DZ, and was in the air with other jumpers it was crazy for me. I have to be honest... I'm glad I'll be starting out at a smaller DZ

I got mine done when I was 17... they put the clamp on so hard that I didn't even realize that the needle had actually gone through... so all I really felt was a really bad pinch. Afterwards though... that's when it'll suck... it does get irritated really easily... and mine got infected a couple times in the first 2 or 3 months, but it wasn't completely healed until probably at least 6,7, maybe 8 months afterwards.... My best piece of advice would be to try not to touch it/play with it a lot... that's how it gets infected. Also, they'll tell you to wash it with dial soap and make sure to get all the soap out after you wash it.... it's true! Make sure you clean it out really well after a shower or anytime you wash it. All in all though, I still have mine in 5 years later (holy shit, that was 5 years ago?!) and it's fun... mine fell out last summer when I lost the top ball and my stomach looked just really weird w/o it in. I say go for it!
