  5. You can try this group as well. It is the only place I found when planning my next trip. Although, I don't know anything other than what isn't on their website. http://www.panamafreefall.com/ You only live once, but If you live like I did once is enough.
  6. Florida cops are practically nazis! I got a ticket once for doing 42 in a 40 zone, but it wasn't on the freeway. On the freeway do 5 over and you'll be fine. Anything over that could get you i trouble. You only live once, but If you live like I did once is enough.
  7. I just found Suncoast Skydiving. Is this part of Skyride, the ultimate palague to skydivers, or is this something worth checking up on? You only live once, but If you live like I did once is enough.
  8. I am helping a friend of mine mount his camera helmet this week. This helmet will have a lot of snag points, so I insisted he get a cutaway and use plastic nuts to secure the plastic bolts. Is it ok to use metal nuts to secure the plastic bolts, or should we try to find plastic nuts instead? I know plastic is not the correct term, but It's late and I'm drunk. Any help would be greatly appreciated. James Curtis You only live once, but If you live like I did once is enough.
  9. Z-Hills always has an awesome party for New Years. Midnight jumps, High altitude jumps, and much more. I don't know if it's too far to travel, but if not you should check it out.

  11. I usually jump at Z-hills when I'm in Florida. I found Skydive Clearwater recently, and they advertise that they do beach jumps. http://skydiveclearwater.com[url]. The only problem is that they have tons of other websites that link to their page. It seems like they might be another scam, so I was wondering if anyone knows anything about this DZ. Would love some information. If beach jumps are legit, I would love to do some beach jumps. You only live once, but If you live like I did once is enough.
  12. I have an ff3. I did not need any tools to set up my cutaway, but it was before the push button system. They are so good at what they do, I doubt you will need any tools for the new configuration. You only live once, but If you live like I did once is enough.
  13. I've done 2 crew jumps at Skydive Elsinore. I want to get some more crew jumps. I'm 200 lbs without gear. The only reason I didn't get my 4 stack is because everyone was weighted lighter than I was. If there is anyone in Z-hills that doesn't mind helping out a heavy crew pup, I will be in Z-Hills from 10/21-1/05/09. I have no gear, but I want to learn. I know 'm asking a lot, but let me know if you can help me out. You only live once, but If you live like I did once is enough.
  14. Skydive Elsinore and Skydive Perris are the closest dropzones to Hollywood. It takes about an hour and ten minutes to get there, and they are only about 10 minutes away from each other. Have fun on your trip. I hope this helps. You only live once, but If you live like I did once is enough.

  18. Tony suits has all the designs you want, but if your not happy with tonysuits, Liquid sky will make custom deigns. Julio is a pleasure to deal with, and you can have any design you want. The price is even similar to Tonysuits. You can find them at liquidskysports.com You only live once, but If you live like I did once is enough.
  19. I recently downsized from my sabre2 210 to a sabre2 190. Before I downsized I was able to complete everything on Billvon's checklist except flat turn 90 degrees at 50 feet. I feel comfortable with flat turns, but I don't feel comfortable doing them at 50 feet. I don't see how I can attempt this safely. I have practiced flat turns up high, but no matter how good I get at flat turns I can't convince myself that trying them at fifty feet is a good idea. I recognize the benefits, but if this maneuver is done incorrectly it seems as though it could lead to serious injury. Has anyone attempted this at fifty feet with 250 jumps? Is it a good idea? If it is a good idea; how do I attempt flat turns at fifty feet and still be safe? You only live once, but If you live like I did once is enough.
  20. I have to agree with what everyone has stated in this thread. I am a pilot with over 500 hours. I have landed airplanes at over 100 mph. This has definitely made flying a canopy much easier. Even with my experience and 250 jumps I still fly a canopy at 1.4. I only have 2 landings that I did not stand up. This is not because I can't fly a higher wingloading; in fact I have flown up to a 1.6 wingloading. What you need to realize is that you can land almost any canopy in perfect conditions. However, if for some reason you take a bad spot in the worst conditions can you consistently land your canopy without hurting yourself? If the answer is no you have not mastered anything, and you should reconsider your downsizing options. If you can't land into a tight spot downwind because you have to reconsider your downsizing choices! Edit- I have also take 3 caniopy classes. These helped, but they did not make me an experienced canopy pilot! You only live once, but If you live like I did once is enough.
  21. I currently have about 220 jumps. I am interested in swooping in the future. I have taken the Flight 1 essential skills course twice, and I try to work on the exercises I learned in this course on every jump. i want to wait until I have at least another 300 jumps before I start swooping. What I'm wondering is what should I be doing between now and then. Are there intermediate exercises I can be doing between what the Flight 1 course covers and swooping. I guess what I'm wondering is what is the next step from here? All my landing are good stand ups with almost no running. I thought about downsizing, but I want to ring every bit of performance out of this canopy before I downsize. What are your recommendations? 22. Anyone know what caused the delay in shipping? You only live once, but If you live like I did once is enough.
  23. A friend of mine recently had his Standard Definition Cannon XL1 stolen. He had it insured, but the insurance company will only pay what it is worth now. They will not pay him the replacement cost. He does not have any idea who stole it. This got me thinking. 1. Is there any chance of recovering stolen cameras and equipment? 2. What steps can/should someone take to give him/her the best chance of recovering a stolen camera? I would love to hear any ideas you may have. Raw Oysters

I am a fisherman, and raw oysters are amazing. The rule when it comes to eating raw oysters is to eat them in months ending in "R". This means September, October, November, or December. Now that oysters are farm raised they claim you can eat them year round, but anyone who is "in the know" will tell you to stick to months ending in "R". You can eat oysters in other months, but they do not have the same quality. They also have a better chance of being constipated, and believe me. A constipated oyster is not something you want to eat!!!!. If you have any other questions feel free to PM me. I can tell you what to look for when selecting a restaurant.
