Ratings and Rigging

  1. I actually had line twists on my second BM jump, and was wishing I had them (it's hard to kick out when your legs are sewn together!). When I landed from that second jump, I ordered a GTi
  2. Don't forget me - I landed from my second jump, and ordered a GTI from Jari on the spot! Blue ones
  3. I rarely have anyone else pack for me, but when I do it's to make short calls all day long. So I do usually tip at the end of the day since I know I put a lot of pressure on 'em to make the calls all day long. I'll usually throw in an extra ten... Blue ones...
  4. I have the same setup except I'm jumping a .45... you'll love the helmet and the camera is bulletproof! Good luck! Dave
  5. I started jumping @ SNE in 2000, and it's still my home DZ. I would (and have!) recommend it to anyone... feel free to PM me if you have any questions about the DZ. And welcome to the sport!!! Look forward to seeing ya' up there. BSBD -Dave
  6. I was expecting to see something more like this Blues - Dave
  7. I run with my Garmin GPS occasionally - works great, and you can see distance, time, speed (average and current) and exactly where you went... -Dave
  8. That's because we get all confused when we're on our bellies! Muscle memory keeps saying to look for your pud! -Dave
  9. I just posted this as a gear review - I thought it would make sense to put it here as well... Great company, fantastic helmet!

    FF2

I had the opportunity to jump my new FF2 helmet this past week in Eloy, and I have nothing but good things to say about both the helmet and 2KCompostites. The customer service was great, Allie at 2k got back on all of my many inquiries in less than a day, and they were able to rush delivery so that I could have it for my trip to AZ. I was very impressed with the quality and comfort as well. I have a Mindwarp that I love, but the FF2 fits my head (and PC101) much better, and there are NO snag points for a line to catch on. One last thing - have them install a Cam-Eye for you... it's only 4 Sterling extra, and they take it apart so only the small red button (~2mm) sticks out of the helmet. I have the feeling we are going to be seeing many more of these in the States soon!
  11. I had a similar problem with my Jav, have you tried tucking the main flap between the L and R closing flaps instead of at the bottom? I started doing that, and haven't had a problem since (~100 jumps...) Dave
  12. Without a doubt --Dixies Blackened Voodoo! But it's very hard to get up here... :( Blue Skyz!
  13. I just bought my Spectre 150 with ~200 jumps for $900 USD... What a great canopy!
  14. I was just down at Skydive AZ a couple of weeks ago, and got a team room. It's something to think about since it's half the price of a hotel, has heat, and you can lock your stuff in there.
  15. I was in the same situation last year, It cost more for the under 25 fees than it did to rent the Spec for a week and a half... but fortunately, they forgot to charge us when we paid at the end (saved $200)....:)
