  1. Is this normal? A new ad perhaps? I'm just trying to browse the boards and this keeps popping up...

Afterwords, there's an "Action Cancelled by user" area where an add normally goes on the L side of the window....

The last thing I need is my IT guys bonking me on the head and blocking the site.

  2. Speaking as one who has dislocated L shoulder, managed to bulge 4 disc, and broken my ass bone ...all from jumping (and on diff jumps mind you) ...please let me re-iterate what the above posters are saying: Go to the damn doc (just don't spell it out that you hurt yourself skydiving! Tell them you fell off the back of a pick up doing about 10 mph down a dirt road :) ). Better safe than sorry and all that shit.....

As far as pain meds go, thanks' to modern medicine there is no reason to be in pain. Therefore, when the little bottle says "take 2 tablets 4x/day as needed for pain" what they really mean is 'take 4 tablets every 1/2 hour as needed for pain...'

  3. I shave my head in the shower, and haven't had a haircut in prolly 10 years. This being said.... I do thourghly enjoy a nice scalp massage and rub. :)
And incidently, I'd take you up on the haircut offer but you'd have to travel a little south to get the job done and we'd have to keep it a secret from my wife. ...And Normiss. :P

  4. What double standard? ...Where did I state or imply that lying was illegal? ...Where did I state or imply that I supported EITHER person? I was simply stating my opinion as to why one had to/should resign and the other didn't. Nothing more, nothing less.

Don't put words in my mouth. Don't assume that you "know" that I was meaning or implying as anything more that what I actually posted. I'm pretty sure that as a professor, your smart enough to understand basic reading comprehension.

As far as lumping me with rushmc and mnealtx... I'll take that as a compliment. :)
    Have a nice day.

  5. Did Vitter lie, repeatedly, on national tv? If he'd have just said something to the effect of 'yeah, i fucked up, sorry about, blah blah blah....' None of this would be an issue. He instead chose to lie and therefore broke the "sacred" public trust at a time when it's politically inconvenient. Understand?

I do agree with you that sliding backward position during deployment might be good. At least to lessen the pressure on your back during the opening shock.

And you'd be wrong, IMHO. Flat, belly to earth at deployment distributes the shock better....

  7. All the US manufactures of jump suits, canopies, and containers maintain a 'black list' of sorts where the names of dick headed customers are kept, and is available to non-US gear providers as well. The list is supposed to be updated frequently... My guess would be that L&B and Nzaerosport just hasn't downloaded the latest updates.

You're apparently on the list! :P

It is not a backstrap, it is a tenderloin, call it by its real name.
I roll mine in olive oil and fresh ground black pepper, seal salt and garlic.

Well.... if ya wanna get all technical... It's a loin. It's the big f'n loin on the outside of the ribs... AKA the "backstrap". If it were the smaller loin on the inside of the ribs, it would still be a 'loin' but would commonly be refered to as a 'tenderloin'.

All that shit aside... around these parts (where pickem up trucks are made for getting dirty, shotguns and rifles are thought of as basic tools, and the gals don't mind getting their hands dirty and they wouldn't be caught dead getting a mani-pedi...) You don't call the backstrap a f'n tenderloin unless you wanna get poked fun at while your killing a case of Budweiser (and before ya talk shit about our choice of beer... just remember that we went from our mama's tit to a can of bud... :$ )

As an additional aside... I can certainly cook the damn thing and I'm sure it'd be delicious. I'm looking for something a little different is all, but not so different that i gotta go out and get some 'seal salt'. :P

    Sorry about the confusion...

  9. Anyone care to share their favorite receipe for venison backstrap? I have a nice one sitting in my freezer and would hate to muck it up. ...And I just can't bring myself to making sausage out of it either. So whats your suggestions?

  10. I voted yes, but ONLY because he went back to the perp afterwards and finished him off (I can only assume so that the perp wouldn't be able to testify against him...). Killing him outright during the holdup, no problem. Killing him afterwards if the perp was trying to cause more harm (ie reaching for his weapon), no problem. Calmly emptying the gun into him as he lies helpless on the floor... problem.

    YMMV.

There are a number of parallels between tobacco and arms industry. I really don't feel a need to spell that all out for you....

Please.... spell it out for me the parallels between the tobacco and arms industries.

  12. In addition to what others have posted.... As I'm sure you've noticed, it's getting hotter outside as summer gets closer and closer. You'll surely make brownie points by bring a cooler full of water bottles on ice for folks to enjoy throughout the day. :)
