As far addressing your question.... It's already against the law to transfer a gun to a felon. These laws are already enforced... usually. Lack of enforcment of existing laws needs addressing but making more laws simply doesn't work.

Drunk driving is already against the law. Should folks be required to go thru a federally licensed car dealer before they sell their car because the buyer "might" be an alcoholic? Theres a whole lot more kids killed by drunk driving than by firearms.

As far as your so called loopholes go... I counter that those are simply safegards to our Liberty. Beyond that, you'll have to enlighten us as to what loopholes your talking about. Specifically.

I'm not in favor of any further laws or restrictions regarding firearms. It won't accomplish anything constructive (with respect to Liberty and saving lives) and it's all just 'creep'.... Here's a 'not so novel' idea; Why not address the REAL problems and enforce the laws already on the books.

I have a 15 yr old Craftsman lawn tractor, and order all parts from Sears parts direct... no issues ordering online (I take screen shots of order confirmation), no issues returning merchandise either....

I did have an issue when trying to pick up a part directly from their warehouse.... after confirming with them that the store would be open and the part was in stock. Drove 2 hours... parts dept was closed. Found out the next day they didn't even have the part.

I call bullshit on those numbers, especially the 49% supporting a ban an "assault rifles", especially considering the AR15 platform is the most common platform on the market. Nevermind that a semi-automatic is NOT an assault rifle no matter how many scary black items you add to it. Its perfectly legal to own a fully automatic weapon, provided your vetted by the feds and you pay your tax stamp.

I know of a couple of rigs permanently grounded due to "smoke damage" from structure fires and not knowing the long term affects that may have on the rig. In both cases, homeowners / renters insurance covered them for new gear. It's something to look into...
