I ordered a Cookie glove for my Cx100 and i'm using a cookie lens too (although it is not an HD lens) the cookie glove has a pocket set up on the side for a hypeye D pro so you can turn it on and off easily I have not got to fly it yet but I'm really happy so far. I ordered my glove an lens from chutingstar in GA and saved $40 in shipping form Australia. They just added it to their regular order from Cookie did not have to wait much extra for it. What is the difference between a HD Lens and a SD Lens. I need a wide angle lens for my CX 100, I will be using it for Tandem Hand Cams I am looking for a .25 - .3 wide angle lens that is low profile like the Liquid lenses. I just got my CX100 and so far love it. I plan on using memory sticks for most of my recording. DSE made a good point in one of his reviews if you have an 8gb card and suddenly realize your almost out of space you have another 8gb of internal "backup" space. This is how I plan to manage mine. I just sent them a email their website does not recommend the Hyp eye with the CX 100 but does not say it will not work, but for sure there is no way to tell if the camera is recording otherwise. BTW I finally found the right settings to close the LCD without turning it off, thanks for the help I was getting worried it was not an option. I just got my new CX-100 but is seems that to turn it on to record you have to have the LCD Panel turned outward. I know on other cameras you do not have to have the LCD panel turned out or open to record. Mine wants to turn off as soon as you close the LCD Panel. When I took my course I was never asked about a reserve ride and never saw it listed as a requirement either. I have not gone back looked but I do not think it is a requirement anymore at least for UPT. let me know if I'm wrong ( I have had 3 reserve rides prior to my rating.) I am a year old TI I was encouraged to get my rating right at 500 jumps. I am a conservative TI, I have yet to hurt anybody and hope I never do.(but I only have 200 Tandems) and I'm 42yo not 23yo and bullet proof. IMO the # of jumps a person has is only a small part of their qualification, I would like to see some sort of recommendation process or longer training an probation periods. I have learned so much since my rating course and still learning everyday. It seems that if you do 20 tandems without killing anybody your good to go. I know people with 300 jumps who would make great TI's and guys with 2000 or more jumps who I would never want to see with a human on the front of them. How do you quaifiy someones attitude and their ability to respond to emergencies, I don't think jump numbers are a real measure.
