  1. I have 2 tandoms over the last year or two. I have wanted to get into skydiving for a long time now. The biggest issue I foresee is time. I guess $ is an issue, but all my hobbies are expensive . Between surfing, scuba, wakeboarding, snowboarding, Crossfit competitions, motorcycle racing.. And those are just my hobbies. Family, girlfriends and friends are loaded on top as well. Being a Whuffo, I didn't realize there was such a big aspect to "staying current" after AFF, coached jumps and getting an 'A' until I started to discuss this with jumpers. It's not like not surfing or being on the bike for a few months and then paddling back out or gearing up for a track day. I'd really just like to hear your thoughts and stories on this topic. If you have a ton of hobbies and make it work or if you are hobby ADD like me and how you go about doing things. Also, how often are you jumping to truly stay current for safety? Any help from those who have been there or are there would be appreciated. Thanks folks! #adrenalinejunkieproblems "Good rule of thumb; is what you are doing the EASIEST for You? 2. That is true since it comes from parcours, french word for "course" I think.. I hate spelling Nazi's too!!.... Wait what?! "Good rule of thumb; is what you are doing the EASIEST for You? Because if it is, it ain't going to work for the people around you."
  3. parkour* But yeah.. Crazy vid "Good rule of thumb; is what you are doing the EASIEST for You? Because if it is, it ain't going to work for the people around you."
  4. This kid is a baller.. Check out the girls at the top row creamin their pants.. Skanks in training for sure! And all the other bored/pissed off expressions from everyone else indicate that this kid kicked the shit out of their routines with a 6th grade Lady Gaga remix! Haha.. Again baller "Good rule of thumb; is what you are doing the EASIEST for You? Because if it is, it ain't going to work for the people around you."
  5. Haha! That IS one option... We took him to a class for dogs with aggression that stems from anxiety, which actually has helped a lot.. It is just a training and learning process from now on I guess.. Maybe a tranq gun.. I could get in in Mexico.. One that could puncture the skin of a rhino - You just took one to the jugular, man! "Good rule of thumb; is what you are doing the EASIEST for You? Because if it is, it ain't going to work for the people around you."
  6. No definitely ignored.. Except for this morning.. Diarrhea! The bark caller only works when it is audible enough such as a bark.. He has learned that "whining" doesn't set it off.. He's a smart little bugger.. But not smart enough to escape some teriyaki sauce and a wok! "Good rule of thumb; is what you are doing the EASIEST for You? Because if it is, it ain't going to work for the people around you."
  7. The yappy ones are horrible! It's not even that it's a "small, yappy" dog.. Aussies (even the mini ones) are intelligent herding dogs, but some are prone to having insecurities, which makes them have anxiety/aggressive/and a lot harder to raise and deal with.. If she'd have met the breeder and the dog instead of forking over $500 on an impulse buy she would have been able to see this puppies problem and avoided the whole situation! 8. The thing won't let me sleep. Wakes up every hour past 5am! I am a huge dog lover.. But she got this little mini Aussie without even seeing it first or meeting the breeder.. And it happens to have an insecurity that makes it a hard dog to deal with.. The poll is obviously a figment of my imagination, but thought it would still be fun "Good rule of thumb; is what you are doing the EASIEST for You? Because if it is, it ain't going to work for the people around you."

    Vegas oddity

Definitely odd when Dogfish Head 60, 90, and 130 min brews are delish!! "Good rule of thumb; is what you are doing the EASIEST for You? Because if it is, it ain't going to work for the people around you."
  10. Find your weight in kg's.. Protein: 1.6-1.7g/kg of body weight for strength gain (2.2g/kg is the highest that's been studied to show gains) Carbs: 6-10g/kg body weight Fat: 20-25% of the diet (works for me) Try this out for a week or 2 if your not making gains then add 500 calories a day (keeping the same ratio of pro/carbs/fat).. Also, keep in mind the bigger you get the more you'll need to eat to maintain that size.. Agree with this 100%.. If you want to gain weight you will be thinking food a lot. It really comes down to what works for you. I usually eat around 45/30/25% Carbs/protein/fat (which would be seen as "lower-carb" but it works best for me). 11. Keep a log of what you are eating for a week... Count total calories.. You could break it down into CHO, pro, and fat, but just get total calories at first. I know a great deal of guys through the years that are Ectomorphs and they all said "they eat like a horse" even though they tried a food log for a week and weren't at nearly enough calories. If you are at a significant number of calories, then it may be you have an amazing thyroid.. I'd rather have an overactive one than an underactive.. Protein shakes during the night, PB&J's during the night... And I do mean wake up to eat just doing ruin sleep cycles. A good amount of fat and casein protein before bed (milk, cottage cheese, peanut butter). If your still not gaining weight then try to take in 1/4 of your total calories during the day post-workout on top of the normal calories for that day. Those are all methods that can work, but an EASY/EFFECTIVE and quick way to gain weight, assuming your not lactose intolerant, is GOMAD... A Gallon Of Milk A Day on top of what you are eating.. Make it whole milk. It has a decent percentage of CHO/Pro/Fat. I've seen it work for many people. http://stronglifts.com/gomad-milk-squats-gallon-gain-weight/ And.. get plenty of sleep - 8 hours EAT, LIFT, SLEEP, REPEAT... 12. Beer may not be the "healthiest" choice... But you do need to replenish CHOs (Carbohydrates) following a workout. A sports nutritionalist I worked with told me that a beer or 2 post-workout, even though it's not the healthiest, is better than not eating or drinking anything. You also want to take in protein and some fat. It's when the one or 2 beers turn into 4 or 6 or 12 where you start to see the unhealthiness outweigh any kind of carbohydrate stores replenishing that needs to occur... 13. When's the last time you took a break from working out? Even if it's just a few days. Sounds like (if you've been pushing it hard consistently), you're a little overtrained. Overtraining isn't just physical, a great deal of it can be the psychological capacity to train. A few days of can jump start your motivation and get you right back into it! 15. My roommates and I have broken 3 can openers in the last 8 months! Just wondering if this is a regular occurrence for others? I don't ever remember going through them before this year. Either they are bent beyond repair, the teeth fail, they break apart completely... Must be my drunk ass roommates trying to eat some tuna *ehemm* at 3am "Good rule of thumb; is what you are doing the EASIEST for You?
