  1. One more day to go, and I'll be there. Again, if someone needs a ride from Kalispell on Sunday around 4pm, PM me. I can even wait till 5pm or even 6pm (I heard there is a nice bar in the airport), but then you gonna drive :) * Don't pray for me if you wanna help - just send me a check. *
  2. I'm arriving on DL 4737 to Kalispell at 3:37pm on Sun Jul 25. Since I'm renting a mid-size SUV, I can pick up 1-2 people with gear (maybe even 3 if I get Explorer). PM me if you need a ride and arriving around that time. * Don't pray for me if you wanna help - just send me a check. *
  3. Which? The decreasing use of fake guns, or the increasing use of real ones? Murder rate. What fake guns you're talking about? * Don't pray for me if you wanna help - just send me a check. *
  4. So why it hasn't happened yet? I mean, voters had like 200 years to discover that, and it hasn't happened yet; why? * Don't pray for me if you wanna help - just send me a check. *
  5. No, this is just your speculation that it is. You cannot prove it. * Don't pray for me if you wanna help - just send me a check. *
  6. Define "nobody". * Don't pray for me if you wanna help - just send me a check. *
  7. And a whining republican makes such a nice pussy! * Don't pray for me if you wanna help - just send me a check. *
  8. Same as those who speculate that more guns LEADS to less (or at least not more) crime. * Don't pray for me if you wanna help - just send me a check. *
  9. No, it does not, as there is a probability that without the guns the drop in crime rate would be significantly larger. Maybe the U.S. murder rate even came down to U.K. rate. * Don't pray for me if you wanna help - just send me a check. *
  10. This is important first step. But there are more. Now let's wait for SC Bilski decision. * Don't pray for me if you wanna help - just send me a check. *
  11. So where exactly it shows that less crime is related to more guns (and nothing else)? * Don't pray for me if you wanna help - just send me a check. *
  12. Well, a just incompetent party is definitely better than both psychotic AND incompetent. Regard the bill, just got back from a long trip to Europe (which was indeed a miracle that I survived there with all those criminals around preying on unarmed victims without guns - Jesus helped me!). I was out in a Bucharest pub at the night the healthcare bill passed, drinking tasty cold Ursus and chatting with nice locals. And there in a pub was a couple of right-wing idiots loudly discussing the just passed bill. And hearing their whines about "socialism", "spending their money without their consent" indeed made my day. And when I imagined how some dz.com conservatives would be whining, that made me even happier. Horrah!!! * Don't pray for me if you wanna help - just send me a check. *
  13. Unfortunately it's mostly gun zealots who play with numbers. 20 years ago one would say "there will always be tobacco". I'm not in hurry. * Don't pray for me if you wanna help - just send me a check. *
  14. That's the alleged purpose to keep guns in stores - for self-defense in case of robbery. * Don't pray for me if you wanna help - just send me a check. *
  15. News article. Yet another example of a gun used in "self-defense". Indeed, we need more of them to solve Oakland homicides problem completely! * Don't pray for me if you wanna help - just send me a check. *
  16. Yes, that's your interpretation of GCA (i.e. your opinion) versus his. * Don't pray for me if you wanna help - just send me a check. *
  17. This is because a 1997 anti-gun law made illegal a lot of things which were legal before. Therefore a person doing exactly the same things in 1996 as they did in 1998 was now committing a crime, maybe unknowingly - despite the fact that his behavior didn't change. This is clearly shown on page 3 graph - the amount of violent crime (which is the only kind of crime guns can be used to commit) dropped significantly from 1997 to 2008/2009. This means the "constant increase in gun crime" from 1997 to 2005 was not related to using guns to commit crimes, but was violation of the laws related to guns themselves, like illegally keeping a handgun. Once the nation is educated about the new law and that it is getting enforced, this type of crime starts going down - which is exactly what the plot shows. * Don't pray for me if you wanna help - just send me a check. *
  18. Dude, this graph came from the document Mike submitted which you claimed to be "valid information". Yet it is clear you didn't even read this document (despite claiming it being "valid information"). If you read it, you would see that this "real nice graph" is right there, on page 8 of this document. Your bias is getting more and more obvious. * Don't pray for me if you wanna help - just send me a check. *
  19. And they pretty much ended it for themselves - so they are kinda ahead, correct? :) and the only reason it looks "good" is because it is often misleading, or an outright lie. Like with gun crime in UK That is because you were reading JR (or nralia, which is basically the same). Do not expect to find any unbiased information from them. mnealtx just provided direct evidence from UK government which shows that gun crime is down, not up. I have never said I was saved by an average Joe gun owner. A cop or soldier would be a different story. * Don't pray for me if you wanna help - just send me a check. *
  20. This is exactly what I talked above. What I wrote was "I'm not interested in A" (i.e. I'm not interested in stories how gun owners protected themselves), and that's all your quotes confirm. What you claimed that I said "I'll only accept B" (i.e. I will ignore any stories besides when gun owners protected someone else). This is false. For example, I'm interested in stories when a gun owner committed yet another stupid crime or went crazy. It is clear as I have been posting those stories for a while. You, however, claimed that "only examples of gun owners coming to the rescue of people like him that refuse to protect themselves are acceptable". Your claim is FALSE, this is not the only example I'm interested in, and there is a huge difference between "interested" and "acceptable". * Don't pray for me if you wanna help - just send me a check. *
  21. "Straight from the Home Office" information shows that the gun crime is DOWN - and it shows it extremely clear on a plot I attached above. You had to do extreme cherry-picking (like pointing out that shotgun crime increased by 2% or 15(!) crimes), and completely ignoring drop in "other/unidentified firearm" to falsely claim that "'decrease' was criminals deciding not to use the fake guns anymore, while use of REAL guns rose. real weapon crime is up". What part of "unidentified firearm" drop by 27% and "other firearm" drop by 33% gave you the difficulty so you falsely claimed that "use of real guns rose"? Where did you get the information that all unidentified and other firearms are not real guns? * Don't pray for me if you wanna help - just send me a check. *
  22. You said that "only examples of gun owners coming to the rescue of people like him that refuse to protect themselves are acceptable. " THIS is what you have to prove. You can provide zillions of irrelevant examples (like the one you paraphrased), but it would not matter because you need to prove a very specific thing. The reason you cannot do it because I did not say it like that - this is just how you (mistakenly) interpreted it. But you attributed it to me, and screwed up there. I'm going to sleep, enjoy your search. * Don't pray for me if you wanna help - just send me a check. *
  23. This is because you're intentionally cherry-picking again (as you obviously know that "gun crime" includes much more than just handguns and shotguns). Of course you're not going to explain that shotgun crime went up by whooping 15 (!) crimes (not 15%, just 15), and handgun crime going 2% up is compensated by "undefined firearm" crime going 27% down. There is even a nice plot for those who cannot read, on page 8. I'm attaching it for your convenience. Nope. "Undefined" and "other firearm" is not imitation. * Don't pray for me if you wanna help - just send me a check. *
  24. Well, it is. Note that the Seattle only lists "major crimes", while London lists "all crime" (which includes non-violent gun crime as well). * Don't pray for me if you wanna help - just send me a check. *
  25. So you are out of arguments and up to lies. * Don't pray for me if you wanna help - just send me a check. *
