I want to make a cable to extent my AV jack on my pc8. I wanted to buy a 2.5mm jack and a 2.5mm socket, mount the socket somewhere easily accessible on my helmet and connect the jack like I do my cameye. This is because its a hassle to connect to a tv as I have to take the camera off sidemount to reach the sockets. If I buy a standard 2.5mm stereo jack will this work? As its only stereo would the video part work, I cant find any AV jacks anywhere. If I can do this is there a website anywhere that will show me how to make the cable? Thanks

I dont know whats best but most people last year, I think, did one routine and got it off better as the competition went on. Some people did change their routines I think but they didnt do as well from what I remember.

Mine was on a G4 powerbook running 10.2.8, so maybe the more recent OSX versions and more recent hardware dont have as many problems? Yes I did try all the firewire ports

My dad has a pc-105 and ive tried everything I can think of to get it working with iMovie and it just wont. It recognises that there is a camera connected but after that cannot do anything with it. Just got FCP and having problems with that too. Ive tried other sony cameras (PC9) and that works but the pc105 wont.

I feel quite comfortable headdown, I can manage some carving, eagles, etc. My forward and backward movement is fine, I stay on level etc, but I want to make sure I am doing it in the best way I can for the future. Should I be moving using my hips? Pushing with my arms? Pushing with my legs? or all of them? I know its probably different depending on how fast I want to move but what is the best technique for this? How do you guys do it? Thanks

Hello, after a lot of looking around ive realised I wont be able to get a stroboframe in the uk before I leave for eloy on the 15th Dec. If I can order one and get it delivered to eloy for when I get there will there be anyone around who can help me fit it and that has a drill? I'm hopeless with drills, bolts etc and I dont want to ruin my helmet. Thanks

Me and 2 friends are entering the nationals this year (only in the B catagory) so we have 4 free rounds to do. Since we've never done this before we dont have a clue on what to do. What gets points? Are some docks better than others to do? What does the camera need to do, just sit at the side and keep them in frame or do things like carving round round them or dock on the other 2 jumpers? Please note we all only have FF1 so we cant do headdown...yet. Someone please give us some tips

I seem to remember seeing a poster for a freefly camera course with the babylon guys in empuria brava. I think it concentrated on producing dvd's from your skydiving videos but I cant remember too well. It starts this summer I think.

If you're prepared to spend the time at the DZ then im sure you could get it done, providing of course you dont mess up too much and you pester them to get on the loads. I got my cat8 4 or 5 weeks after my first and did it in 21 jumps

Hey everyone, this is the first time ive posted on here (i think), although ive been lurking for a while. I have 65 jumps, 35 of which have been on a sabre 170, I am pleased with my canopy skills and have had no bad/hard landings. I am 162lbs exit weight so i'm loading at about 0.95:1. I am looking at buying my first rig now (ive been borrowing a friends for a while). Some people said that it is acceptable to go for a wing loading of upto 1.1/1.2 ish for a first canopy. I am tempted to buy a sabre 150 as I will still only be loading it at 1.08:1. Could anyone give me some opinions on this, would a sabre 150 be an acceptable first choice or is it a bit too small at this stage. I do not have a lot of money and I dont want to be wishing I had gone to the 150 after a few jumps on the 170. What do ya think? Thanks

Hey everyone, as part of a college course I am doing I have been working on an online logbook system (http://www.skydiveuk.com). I have a basic version of it running, it has loads of bugs (but not too many I hope). Could anyone with some spare time or just someone who is bored at work and wants something to do give the site a go, try and add jumps etc and tell me what errors you come across, give some idea of what you think could be changed or what could be added to it. This would help me very much. I am also working on allowing it to read protrack data and generate graphs from it, can anyone point me in the right direction as to how to read the data. Someone told me it is in paradox format but I cant seem to get to the data. Thanks
