Hi Katrinka, In 2 words, very expensive. You have to pay VAT at 17.5% and import duty which varies according to what it is (I don't know what it would be for Skydiving gear) Most people go over on a cheap flight for a long weekend and still save money or find someone who would be willing to bring it back for you for a small fee. hope this helps

Does anyone know if there is a problem at Sun Path with the time it takes for a Javelin Odyssey to be made? Mine was ordered with enough time for a skydiving trip in April and it's not looking like it will be ready, which means the cost if the trip is going up due to hire fees.

You must have got some kind of provisional license to jump with the BPA instructor. I was the same as you and had to wait for my number to come through before applying for my A, Maybe just phone the BPA for clarification they are helpful.

Thanks for the replies, it has reassured me. I really enjoyed doing the WARP it's nice to be able to jump with someone else!

Started doing some WARP training yesterday and I noticed that i can't remember every aspect of the jump during the debrief, it almost feels like sensory overload but some bits do come back to me once the instructor talks about it. Is this normal, should I worry about it?

I used my Protrack for the first time over the weekend. On the first jump I pulled at 4K and the Protrack indicated 3120ft. On the second jump I pulled at 3.5K and it registered as being 2706ft. Is the loss of 880ft and 794ft the time it takes for the canopy to fully deploy? and if this is the case, will it make the freefall time inaccurate?
