Girl... this is the reason why it is NOT a coincidence that I am at the DZ on a payday weekend!! Being in AFF is just like paying a utility bill at this point for me. I get paid twice a month, so, I am at the DZ twice a month!!! Trust me... now I really love and appreciate my job that enables me to fund this expensive hobby. By the way, the days that you have mentioned that you were at SDSM, I was there too. You started AFF while I was still doing my tandems (did 3 w/ the same TI). Hope to meet you one of these days. I just want to recognize that Tandem Instructors have got the be one of the bravest people on Earth 'coz they have to jump with someone they have never jumped with before, who at the same time is strapped onto the instructors. Y'all never know what the student will do while in freefall or under canopy or how they will react. But I must say there has to be the benefit of seeing someone just grinning from ear to ear because they just totally enjoyed the ride. I did 3 tandems with the same TI and have started in AFF. He was very instrumental in my learning progression due to his professionalism and love of the sport which was very infectious!! ______________________________ Don't fear the reaper. ... BOC

Just wanted to say hello to all!! I started with a tandem on April 2005, and after 2 weeks, I went back for the 2nd tandem to refresh my memory (I'm so glad a had a video of the initial tandem, coz, there was so much going on in my head that I do not remember the first 6 to 10 seconds of the 1st leap off). Then, I loved the 2nd tandem so much, I went for a 3rd tandem. Now, I'm an AFF2 student. I did my AFF2 jump yesterday, and could not control my "Mad Legs" ( so my jumpmaster refers to them). I have to repeat my AFF2 jump... which is just fine... gives me an excuse to skydive and besides... the more practice, the better I'll become. Guess I'm coming into this kinda late... Anyway, I have done 3 tandems (just because I totally enjoyed the 1st one but can not remember all the details of the freefall, so I did a 2nd one to refresh my memory. The 2nd tandem I wore an altimeter since I was going to pull the rip cord instead of the tandem master. The 3rd one was even better... we did 90degress turns to the left and to the right, again got to pull the rip cord). I had the same tandem master for all 3 jumps!! He's really cute... and reliable!! Ok.. so now, I want to know more and be able to jump with my own chute, so I've enrolled for the AFF course!!! I'm on AFF2 right now. Did my jump yesterday, but could not get my legs right on freefall, so I have to repeat Level 2!! WHich is just fine for me because this just give me another excuse to skydive and anything to hone my skills is totally cool!!! ______________________________ Don't fear the reaper. ... BOC
