  1. well thanks all for the help. ive made my decision. im not going to do this anymore. im going to tell bill i would like to do the aff and see if he will apply my remaining credits towards it. im not comfortable. as a scuba diver ive learned, if im not comfortable with what im doing. dont do it. chris Day-Day that CRAAAAAAAZY bitch is out there again!!!
  2. yeah i agree. i can arch just fine, but to have to do it in .5 seconds after being so shaken up, just isnt working. i think if i can get in a plane that has a DEDICATED pilot and not have to worry about it crashing before i get out ill be better off. like i said, its not the skydiving that wrecking me, its all the stuff in the plane before that is ruining me before i even get to that point. 3. steve, thats what im pondering. being 6'4" doesnt help. i feel so shaken up being the last one out, and then shoved under that wing. not to mention being the last one out, after the plane has been pitching and rolling and having static lines banging on the side, im just wrecked. im going to talk to bill tomorrow and see about switching to aff. 4. so i take it this isnt normal/prefered. cause its what is freaking me the fuck out. im just a wreck by the time im out of the plane. Day-Day that CRAAAAAAAZY bitch is out there again!!!

  7. hey all. well my friend and i did our first day of training today (see pic). im the last person that gets scared, i have over 48 weeks of training in SCUBA and today.. today ended several hours ago, and my palms are still sweating as i type this. we did our static line stuff. the first jump, the line gave me road rash on my left arm. my arm position was obviously terrible. second jump was just okay. third jump, i slipped off of the wing strut and fell. i just am freaked out about climbing out onto the wing strut and hanging for some reason. 1. look at the pilot ask "Will, how do I look?" 2. head up, toes pointed, arch 3. grab practice handle 4. shock after i get to step one, i freeze. im tall (6'4") so the arch just sucks for me, and i seem to just drop the ball. im the LAST person out of the plane. by that point, the lines have been banging on the side of the plane, the pilot is pulling them in while the plane goes apeshit and im just a wreck mentally. my buddy james, the one in the picture with the rig on, is always the first one out, and has been doing GREAT. any advice. i dont want to not go tomorrow to finish this, but man, that cessna, just has me mentally fried. i truely wish i had done the aff where i dont have to climb out onto the wheel, hang from the strut, and at that point be freaked out because the pilot has been trying to fly, pull in the lines and whatnot. chris Day-Day that CRAAAAAAAZY bitch is out there again!!!
  8. paintball gun. works like a charm. non lethal mostly, and when they go home pink/yellow/orange to their racoon buddies, the humiliation sets in. but any little fuckers with opposable thumbs are bad news in my book. its all we have that separates them from us. dont let him steal the paintball gun from u. it could turn out bad. 9. i had a feeling it wasnt the god aweful big deal that it was made out to be in the first replys. scdrnr, thanks for all the info. someday after i get some experience under me, i might look into jumping into paintball scenario games. that is kind of another reason i was interested. since i have such a large foot in the paintball industry, it was just a natural curiosity. and no, people wont be allowed to shoot at me :P the bigger scenarios that are military themed, or futurshock type, usually have cool demos to start them off like jumping into them, or they might have choppers land etc. etc. chris Day-Day that CRAAAAAAAZY bitch is out there again!!!
  10. heh i figured there was no way i was the first to ask that question... what a crazy mofo. impressive, but crazy. chris Day-Day that CRAAAAAAAZY bitch is out there again!!!

  16. http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/gallery/imageFolio.cgi?action=view&link=Featured_Photographers/Michael_McGowan/Chicken_Soup&image=Hanging%20around.jpg&img=&tt= eh, this is fucking nuts. but am i correct in thinking he has some kind of tether running down his arm that he is holding on to the harness with that is connected to his body under his jump suit? or do people really do this? how in the hell would you climb back up into the harness? sorry i couldnt attach the pic. they are protected images it appears. chris Day-Day that CRAAAAAAAZY bitch is out there again!!!
  17. thanks for all the advice everyone. it was something i wondered even long before i jumped out of a plane. as a kid, my dads friend was in the chico skydiving club. we went to a private airstrip in red bluff where i saw these crazy bastards unload at about 1500' it seemed. i swear they had their chutes in hand (might have been pilot chutes in hand, i was young). im pretty sure they still had the door on, and the plane was so low i could read the tail numbers. anyways, just something i always wondered about. and dont worry, for those of you that think this is something im going to do tomorrow, its not. hence my repeated disclaimer in the first post. chris Day-Day that CRAAAAAAAZY bitch is out there again!!!
  18. yeah we were thinking about that. but we were more into the "catching a ride" aproach. aka, if he is going up, we catch a ride, get out, and he keeps going on about his flight. rather than have to come back down and put the door back on. but hey, thanks for the advice, we kind of were right on the same lines as you :) Day-Day that CRAAAAAAAZY bitch is out there again!!!
  19. Hey all, yeah I know Im new to this. This is more of a preliminary question I guess. My friend and I are finishing our schooling this monday/tuesday. His brother in law has a co-op with some other people for a cessna 172. My question is this. I know most DZ's that run cessnas have the passenger side door removed. This isnt the case in this situation. Is it possible and safe to get a ride with him and jump out using a regular cessna door? Stall speed is about 60 mph so are there going to be issues getting the door open safely. I dont know, this may be common place, but if you have any advice, let me know. Again this is very soon in our career for this, but hell we are sitting around bored and just wondered. Thanks again. Chris Day-Day that CRAAAAAAAZY bitch is out there again!!!
  20. as you can tell me and this squirrel nuts are good friends. which means we are going to be mean as hell to each other. i called him one day and said we need to get our skydiving licenses and as the true friend he is, he agreed. but i think he just liked the thought of the dood strapped to his back durring the tandem.. i noticed he lost the excitment when we told him that he wouldnt be mounted to some guy for the rest of his career. Day-Day that CRAAAAAAAZY bitch is out there again!!!
  21. what up motogir... i mean boy. glad to see you finally regged an account on here u monkey luvva. monday and tuesday if it doesnt rain, we are gonna make like trees and eh, fall or something. I CANT SEE! Day-Day that CRAAAAAAAZY bitch is out there again!!!

  23. cfvd, not part of a team. have been invited to join the D.A.R.T. team in Sac but, recovering bodies just seems to lose its flavor.... As far as bikinis, MAN I WISH! Chris Day-Day that CRAAAAAAAZY bitch is out there again!!!
  24. HA! Well obviously im new to the sport, but being an x pro paintball player and a rescue diver, I chose to participate in ALL the sports that are FULL of doods! Not that its a bad thing, but man, when I went to my local DZ, I saw some women!!! W00t what a concept! Girls? James, Girls, can you see them? Holly crap, girls jump out of planes? Did I find the meca? Oh did I? Anyways, long rant boring lame story/question short, did I find a sport that actually has women that not only participate but like guys that are really guys? I mean for the love of god, women, that like men that are MEN? Heh.... Feel free to tell your stories of success or failures, or hell just flame me for wondering. I run a site for paintball players so without the flames, we would be out of business :P Day-Day that CRAAAAAAAZY bitch is out there again!!!
  25. EMS I totally agree with you there. Its pretty sad when it FEELS GOOD to get carded. Christ when did that start happening Day-Day that CRAAAAAAAZY bitch is out there again!!!
