  1. Hey Simon, Suit looks sweet, nice colors. Will be interesting to see the forward speed, I figure it will fly similar to the other monowings (S-Fly and derivatives). Look forward to trying one. Long flights, J BASEstore.it
  2. The cat is no longer with us, it was overly curious, not loyal and unquestioning like the dog. Ciao Spont! Welcome back!
  3. meoww meowww .... urggghhhhh The suits in the tunnel video are the S3, GTi and the Phi prototype made by Robert. I got my confirmation from a reliable source. BASEstore.it
  4. Correct me if I'm wrong - but the suits in the tunnel video are S3, Gti and the Phi prototype made by Robert. BASEstore.it
  5. http://news.gamewinners.com/index.php/news/1965/ ok, so seriously > from the BM website: Birdman Newsletter Jan 2005: " The release dates for the LEGEND, PHI and S.5 BLADE will be announced Winter 2005. " BASEstore.it
  6. "Soon", as in, you'll get your playstation 3 before you can get an s5 BASEstore.it
  7. I don't think Robi would want that data released just yet. I'll PM you T J BASEstore.it
  8. At the end of the day it comes down to your own personal preference. I would happily use the mirage handle for ws for two reasons: -it is light weight -it has no "snag points" (unlike the single attachment point of a hackey / monkey fist, which the bridle can wrap around) J BASEstore.it
  9. Cool! It does fly fast like a missile!! BASEstore.it
  10. I downloaded the GPS data from the beginner suit flight today. Fall rate was under 50mph with good forward speed, BUT remember this was just my first flight and I could feel the suit has more to offer
  11. Any chance of a photo of Max in his frappe 'at? J BASEstore.it
  12. He be one bad ass mofo! BASEstore.it
  13. I know you're just playing, but the V-1 name came from the distinctive profile of the armwing. As for the background of the "blade" name - you'd have to ask Spont about that J BASEstore.it
  14. Glad the jumper walked away un-injured. grrrrr, hackeys are evil J BASEstore.it
  15. Cast your vote on www.bird-man.com !! They have kindly re-created the poll and the number of options has been increased

  17. I remain confused why you should care!? If its 200m high and near a McDonalds it has been jumped by Felix contact the guys at Pressurized Long flights, J BASEstore.it
  18. Front wing deflector, in theory their purpose is to re-energise the airflow close to the topskin of the arm wing keeping the flow attached over the complete airfoil (so the wing keeps producing lift, not drag) They look cool but don't actually do a great deal in this application. Long flights J BASEstore.it
  19. It just flies too far away too fast No you're right, the definition of the video is too low (also shot with wrong lens). Robi's aim is to make a suit that is really easy to put on, wear and fly. The two piece suit was the best solution to realise this goal. BASEstore.it
  20. I have uploaded a short video of the suit in action to: http://www.skydivingmovies.com/fileupload/ My Mac is having issues with the normal upload form File is "pf_begin.mp4" I'll shoot an email to Dave to see about getting it moved in to wingsuit / BASE folder. Thanks to Uli for shooting the footage
  21. You can't see the vents in the photo. The legwing inflates to a good size, especially the back of the suit which inflates completely (butt / leg area). BASEstore.it
  22. Sorry for the slow response, been away on business all week. The attached photo of the prototype should answer some of the questions
  23. Robi has been testing the new beginner suit from the airplane and decided to try it from the mountain this weekend
